Using firefox is so trendy. I use it too at work but most of the time at home I use Safari.

Firefox. Once I started, I never stopped. My dad's a Chromer, my mom's an Explorer... er, but I'm a Firefoxer.

Internet Explorer, as I'm too familiar with it now to change.
Well, it's not exactly switching from driving a car to driving a motorbike. I'm sure you'd be able to dig Firefox really quickly.

Well, I use all of the mentioned onces every now and then, but mostly Opera, since I've customized it a bit here at my own computer, and I like it :D

Screw up? Odd. I have used this firefox for years and never had any problems with any sites.

About browsers in general:
Though I think the browser "war" that people get in with is pointless. For me this is just a browser and I think many browsers work in a very similar way. So if I ever have problems with firefox I will change it. And I don't think that I need to worry about "learning around" that new browser. (As every new and usefull feature will be in the other browser in notime) These are just browsers ;)

I use Chrome. I don't really have a good reason for it. It told me to download it so I did. And then I even used it.

I hadn't for a few years, but then it started being very slow with scrolling down on the page on a couple sites. It looked like screen tearing in games it was so slow. I couldn't fix it, so I switched to Chrome. I'm happy with it, and probably wouldn't want to switch back.

I use chrome because it looks nice, you can drag tabs around, and the multi-process feature means I'm safe from crashing (and I have a tendency to make things crash that just shouldn't crash, like my MacBook, anything running the Source Engine, and Firefox).

Firefox. No other browser really compares to it in my opinion. If you have GDI++ on Windows, it makes the fonts look extremely smooth - almost like in Safari. I'm the first person to admit Firefox is incredibly bloated since it moved up to 3.0 and beyond, but with 4.0 we could see this being rectified. And even if it is bloated as well, it'll likely be compatible with nearly everything anyway, meaning that it's of no concern to me. I like the addons available for Firefox, and different skins are downright awesome. Personas are pretty sweet too, but I'm not really a fan of extremely bright colors in my Firefox styles, so I go for darker Personas. And yet, there are still plenty of them to choose from.

Chrome is a decent browser as well, but I find it really messes up font smoothing and makes most sites look unbelievably ugly. Try opening Safari on a Windows machine and put it beside Chrome on the same machine, at the same site. You'll see what I mean by font rendering. Chrome used to be my main browser, but once I found Firefox to be as good as it is, I can't use Chrome anymore. IMO, Chrome was at its finest when it was in the 1.0 phase. Once it moved up to 2.0, I wasn't as fond of it. I'll give it one thing though: it's incredibly fast, and if I need speed, I'll use it over anything else.

As for Opera, it feels completely unprepared for modern internet in some cases. I use a site in particular a lot, and it's also about videogames. Opera is not compatible with it, and that's downright worthless for me. I like the fact Opera is basically prepared for everything with all the addons, and it's still lighter than Firefox. What I don't like though is the fact that it feels slower due to the fact it alerts you to the fact it is downloading elements. It might not be slower, but it sure feels it when it tells you it's downloading the information. Though it renders my beloved fonts properly, so it's fine that way.

As for Safari, I have two views. I liked the older version better because it looked more like an Apple product. Plus, the buttons were like those from an OS X machine, so it felt like a Mac / Windows hybrid. With Safari 4 they dropped the Mac styling on the Windows version, and also the buttons. And with 3, I was prepared to sacrifice speed in some situations in order to get some great looks. With 4 I don't get great looks and speed is still lacking.

Internet Explorer is a browser I won't even mention. It does the job - getting to Mozilla's page and allowing me to download Firefox. Otherwise I don't bother. So, here are my rankings for them:

1. Firefox
2. Safari
3. Chrome
4. Opera
5. Internet Explorer

Hmmm. Still odd :). But yeah. Just browsers. My second choice would also be Chrome. *tries to test firefox for even small flaws... continues browsing perhaps hoping something to occur*

Firefox, I like the add-ons... though as for light and quick, I will use chrome from time to time. Simplicity is good sometimes.

Chrome b****es!
Each tab has its own processor thread, plenty of add-ons to make me happy, fast, thin, smooth, and full screen mode (I hated the massive top bar of both IE and Firefox).
In fact, there is only one good reason that i have heard from anyone on why they prefer firefox over chrome, and that is that they like the menus, which i understand.
Took me a while to get over not having all my options in this massive array of menus, all the way until i realized i didn't use them and how to get to the few i actually used in chrome.
The ease of breaking and rejoining tabs from/to the main windows is also very nice, something no other browser i have used has.
Sync across all my comps is useful. Though to get the most out of chrome, a gmail/google login is dam near required (for some/most advanced features).

Chrome right now, because my firefox slowed to a crawl and wouldn't fix. I only use it now if chrome lacks the functionality.

I use Firefox, if Chrome had more addons (including stumbleupon) I would use it in a heartbeat.

But I use chrome on my netbook as it's very lightweight

People always have a go at me for using IE, but I actually prefer it... People always tell me to use Firefox, but I just can't get on with it...
I also understand this, both me and my dad were the same way. We tried firefox but couldnt get used to every site/application thinking we wanted another bar on the top of our screen and IE worked for us.
I caught an IE virus quite a few months ago and forced myself to switch to firefox, it was a grind but i got over it. Then i found chrome, it was love at first sight. My dad never actually encountered an issue with IE, but after about 5 min of watching chrome agreed that it was superior to IE and switched.

Try out some other browsers, Chrome is small, fast, light; Firefox has menus and a decade's worth of add-ons (although chrome has its own version of alot of them, as firefox devs convert their addons to work on chrome as well); Safari and Oprah i cant advertised mostly because i have never seen anyone use them, nor have i used them myself, but they do have their fans and im sure they like them for a reason.
The biggest problem with IE is that it is the default browser that almost anyone gets (at least with windows the most prevalent OS), so therefor, everyone tries to make a virus for it, because they have more opportunities for success (would your rather fish in a pond with 5 fish or with 50 fish?, would a hacker create a virus that could potentially affect 5 mil or 50 mil). Every windows user has IE, so until it is no longer required by windows to have IE, or if windows looses its market domination (mac or linux takes over and all hackers attempt to break firefox)
