I go to a pretty posh school. It's number 5 in New Jersey actually. They were totally against physical violence in Middle school. Unfortunately, they couldn't do jack about emotional bullying. Because of a few select individuals, I was pretty depressed for the majority of the year. I turned it around in the last semester when I started to find solace in my friends. That year changed me a lot. I used to be really uptight about school work and grades and was totally arrogant. I used to put my school career above my friends. I quite ashamed of it now. I cut off a lot of that. I still study hard. I'm in a AP course and all Honors in my Freshman year. But my attitude is way different. It's "Look for the silver lining and have fun in everything you do, because Life is precious and every second is slipping by." thing for me.

How about we all hold hands and screw the "polite" approach to bullying.

You're being bullied?

Kick them in the balls and punch them in the face.

I hate bullies.

I was bullied all through school but I got my revenge.

Oh the sweet sweet taste of revenge.

Nobody truly bullies me in that sense as I can temporarily let go of my calmness and nerdiness (the stuff that turns me into a target for bullies)and stare them down as I have never met anyone taller than me and barely anyone as strong as me. so in short, bullying does not affect me though I know of some people who have completely changed because of it.

Been bullied in elementary, i was the fat kid that got along with everyone but was never really liked. I was also kinda alternative, listening to metal.

When i got to high school i went to the gym, cut my hair and generally got more confident when i started dating girls. Never been bullied in high school yet, beside the occasional prank everyone pulls on each other.

It wasn't insanly bad, mostly verbel abuse due to my teacher pet like status. Then my first girlfriend broke up with me due to my stupidty. Now I'm constantly questioning if I really deserved it. I mostly just surpress the memories but it has made me much colder to most people.

Honestly, people bullying me is what made me grow up. I was a spaz and a pussy, and the bullying made me grow up. I think the bullying was negative, but brought about something positive.

Welp, bullying sucks, but it DID give me the motivation to work out and learn how to fight, so thanks a lot, buillying! Confront a bully properly and they'll just feebly retreat from you.

I really don't get bullied mainly because I know some crazy shit and I have friends. I also have gained alot of respect mainly because I was getting made fun of one day and usually I blow that shit off, but then the kid tried to hold me against my will so i could take his shit. Thats where it gets messy because once he put his hand on my shoulder and yaked me I instantly grabbed his hand twisted it, kicked him in the ribs, then threw him into the lockers with a lock going in his back and then stood over him and told him to get up. He didn't and said sorry. I walked away like nothing happend after that. But all the whitnesses told the tale.

I don't start shit but I end it. I don't spread shit that shouldn't even be spread.

I wouldn't know....I was always that kid that no one really hated nor liked (switzerland pretty much) so no one really messed with me.

I'm pretty oblivous to those sort of things.. usually someone has to tell me that their trying to get on my nerves (I just thought they were natually stupid)

the only thing I can really recall was maybe this chick who didn't like me or my freinds and insulted us, but it didn't work to well considering I listed all the things she was, it was a long list of colorful words. didn't even bother us after that.

I only hurt other people when they hurt me or my frinds. they had it comeing

Never been bullied, so I couldn't say. But, I'd have to guess that it could easily change a person.

I smashed a guys glasses because he bumped into me today at school.
The thing is sometimes I can't help it. This particular boy is being bullied constantly by a group of guys including me. But always when I come home and watch one of these friends commercials I think that maybe I have scarred him for life.
I have several times gone to the principles office and told her about the bullying but she doesn't do anything. None of us get punished and the bullying just continues on and on.
I know I'm a terrible person. :(

OT: Yes bullying changes people. They get more and more nervous and shy and afraid which just escalates the bullying. I have sen this.
