Another thing I found odd about your predicament. You said one of the kids was being the wheel of a car. So he is aloud to control a machine that can be easily used to kill real people but he isn't aloud to buy a game in which he kills fictional characters?
Isn't that odd?
Yea, I think that's very odd. I'm just glad it isn't outlawed to buy games for minors in this country, which is why I'm having second thoughts about what I did - some have suggested it was a bad representation of the gaming community, and the kind of thing that parent advocacy groups use as ammunition in the fight to criminalize game sales.

I'm surprised to see how close the numbers have remained: right now, 37% think it was wrong, 45% think it was ok, and 16% didn't care enough to pick a serious answer.
123 think what I did was wrong for reasons 1, 3, and 5.
147 think what I did was ok for reasons 2, 4, and 6.
93 think I'm a bad influence.
91 think talking to strangers is harmless.
9 think I'm a lying sack of shit.
22 think kids will be kids and gets whatever they want.
21 think I'm a delinquent.
34 think I'm a Samoan Samaritan: a Samoanitan.
13 think I should check out this cool shit-rock band called "Balls-in-Face Death Punch" who are playing at their friend's basement party this Friday and if I come I should bring lots of beer because they can't afford any but there will be lots of chicks regardless.
9 want to be John Marston's *****.
33 are just, like, so confused by it all and, dude, can't you slow down and stop typing so much? It's like, you're dropping this giant wall of text in my lap and I can't get through all of it. MOOOOM - can you come up here and tell me what all these words mean?????

I don't believe it was wrong- they aren't babies, they know what they're doing.
But they would have obtained it regardless, you just made it easier for them. Very kind of you. Just don't get caught being a nice guy, because if you aren't the right KIND of nice guy, everyone will hate you for it.

As a gamer, I have to say I've played M rated games before I was 17, in fact, I played Mortal Kombat (rated M) when I was about 12. The game did not turn me into a crazed maniac. Since these guys were just trying to buy an M rated game and they looked to be almost 18 anyway, it's really not that big of a deal.

That being said, you are not their parent or guardian. As much as I hate to choose this option, that was a bad move on your part. You have no idea how their parents are going to react and since they are not 17 you are not in a position to make that decision for them. Like I said, I hate to have to choose this one, but I think I'm right.
