Great, why do you feel your entire post needs to be bold?
I'm certain that was relevant to the thread in some manner.

In any case, I hate the typeface that The Escapist uses, so I prefer to post in bold.

The first Mercenaries was my favorite game of all time. Seriously. This series needs more love.
It was kicked in the crotch by the second game, however. The endless QTEs for hijacking vehicles plus the game's blindspot for allowing you to jump into a faction chopper and drop fuel tanks down on your targets via winch without them turning hostile broke that game so hard. If Mercs 2 hadn't been as bad as it was, I reckon we'd already have a Mercs 3.

Cyberpunk RPG set in a morally ambigious Tiberium Univerise. The story of C&C4 didn't happen because it's ridiculous.

Just do a Tiberian Sun RPG.

Mercenaries would be awesome & is too much fun to pass up, thats mt vote, but a good new C&C would be just fine as well.... Why must i choose only one?

Since everyone seems to be saying "I can't see Bioware making a RTS, so it's DEFINITELY 100% NOT HAPPENING," here is a link to the connections that people are seeing. It's actually somewhat believable. I also would not have thought that Bioware would have the resources to make an MMO, but nowadays their studios are strong, well fed, and diverse. They can hire the talent they need with their giant sacks of money.

I don't know where yo got the idea that Bioware would be developing either but I'll humour you anyway. I'm probably one of the few people that actually enjoyed Mercs 2, and if they could make a game remotely as good then I'm in. The thing is, Mercs 2 was a great sandbox in my eyes and if Bioware was to develop a new Mercenaries, there'd be a slim chance that it would actually be a sandbox.

Since the notion about how Victory Games is making the next C&C thing, I doubt it's that. I'd actually more venture a whole new IP or they're just teasing that's either ME3 or DA3 without actually saying it is.

I'd like to see a Mercenies Two, provided that EA remembers that sandbox + multiplayer practically always sucks. Well that and I'd like to see them remember to patch the damn game when they turn off the servers, so I don't have to yank my internet connection out every time I want to play.

Same here I've lost count how many times I played through Mercenaries. I 'd love this series to return, it might even convince me to buy my first EA published game at full price since the last Mercenaries game. But no multiplayer, except for a much much improved coop mode from the sequel.

I seriously do not understand why so many people hated Red Alert 3. It was silly as fuck and rightfully so.
Yeah, but it was cartoony, while the previous game wasn't. RA2 was realistically silly. RA3 was just weird. Jedi samurai? Oh, and the game just wasn't as fun for me. Cinematics looked good though.

It's just what happened with Serious Sam 2. The first game looked realistic, then everything went all silly.

As much as I'd love a new good RTS C&C game (C&C3 was fun and RA3 was ridiculously fun IMO) I want to see a sequel to C&C Renegade, that series needs more love.
