In any case, I hate the typeface that The Escapist uses, so I prefer to post in bold.

It was kicked in the crotch by the second game, however. The endless QTEs for hijacking vehicles plus the game's blindspot for allowing you to jump into a faction chopper and drop fuel tanks down on your targets via winch without them turning hostile broke that game so hard. If Mercs 2 hadn't been as bad as it was, I reckon we'd already have a Mercs 3.Volstag9 said:The first Mercenaries was my favorite game of all time. Seriously. This series needs more love.
Same here I've lost count how many times I played through Mercenaries. I 'd love this series to return, it might even convince me to buy my first EA published game at full price since the last Mercenaries game. But no multiplayer, except for a much much improved coop mode from the sequel.Volstag9 said:The first Mercenaries was my favorite game of all time. Seriously. This series needs more love.
Yeah, but it was cartoony, while the previous game wasn't. RA2 was realistically silly. RA3 was just weird. Jedi samurai? Oh, and the game just wasn't as fun for me. Cinematics looked good though.Duffeknol said:I seriously do not understand why so many people hated Red Alert 3. It was silly as fuck and rightfully so.
