Only thing is, the term camping and the whining that goes with it has bled even to game/maps where your dumbass is to defend a area. Which means hunker down and DEFEND, sitting in a closet is camping. Your in a room moving back and forth between windows and doors...defending.
Finding a corner with a weapon you know will kill anyone before they kill you and sitting for 5 minutes...camping.
Defending a pass to your east where if you let the enemy through they slaughter you by flanking chaos? Defending. Difference? Probely little but I'd like a nice fps where they say defend this base and the first zerg tard that steps out the door and charges the enemy spawn zone fails the mission. Defending a sniper? Good idea. Defending a flag in ctf, critical. Camping that flag....well it is capture....half run out to get the other flag half stay and defend.
To expect everyone to be a zergtard in every game created past, present and future is why I hate the term... You can't play EVERY game like this and expect it to fit...or even to be fun. God sake, why you think Americas army did so well for a while...you had one life to live and that was it. The losers who charged in, machinegun aimed at peoples legs got killed, as well as bunny hoppers when they learned your jumping like a normal person 4-6 inches off the ground.
Defending is a reasonable tactic in games that it calls for. CTF, Base defense, mission make up games...(i miss the old Destroyer map from Unreal Tourney)
Free for all death matches...it's just camping no lying or candy coating it, it's people to afraid to mix it up.
