There is a movie I think we've forgotten, Fightclub . . . sure you can call fake out since the "bad guy" wasn't what you expected, but he did win . . .

The Godfather, I and II. Everyone's a bad guy in that.

Goodfellas too, the bad guy gets away with it all.

If you haven't seen Watchmen don't click I guess...
WATCHMEN is not a good film!
The Watchmen was one of my all time favorite movies and I'm guessing that you're one of two people:

Fanboy who's obsession with the comic makes him hate every other interpretation of the source material.
OR
A moron with the attention span of a dyslexic squrriel.

Don't say something isn't good without giving reasons.

Well, we kind of all won in that scenario. . . although i did flip shit when
Dr. Manhattan blew Rorschach up
i think everybody flipped shit when that happened, in the graphic novel and the movie. I did it at the movie, and I read the book so I already knew what was gonna happen.

Well, at least his journal was published

I love that movie with every fiber of my being.
Kaizer Sozey is Kevin Spacey!
That's debatable because
he went through the whole thing to stop the guy from giving a testimony. He tried to hide his identity and ended up with his mugshot taken. True, he didn't arrested but he still suffered a major blow.
Or did he? It seems to me that the only way for Kaizer Sozey to kill the man that saw his face AND get back at the people who stole from him was to do it HIMSELF.
Besides in the final boat scene, who could have killed Hockney?

The bad guys didn't win...cause the story doesn't have good guys to begin with. Just criminals worse than the other criminals.
So that makes them not bad guys?
No it makes it irrelevant, saying that the bad guys win in Snatch. They all bad guys, it's safe to assume that one of the parties would get something out of it in the end.
It ended being Turkish and the American Jew guy.

Try almost any Tarantino movie.
In Pulp Fiction there were no actual heroes; in Reservoir Dogs the good guys were the bad guys and (almost) everyone died;in Kill Bill the bride was a hero, but only acted her role as a hero by acting as a villian; in Inglourious Basterds, the villain (by which i mean Han's Landa, not Hitler) gets away, if not marked for the rest of his life; And in Jackie Brown, she worked for the villians until they try to kill her, and it ends with her taking a ton of money and running.

Robert Rodriguez movies do the same as well, it that same vein of thought. But boy those films are good.

QFT. Although after the prequels something occurred to me: We all used to call Luke a whiney farm boy. Then we see Anakin and he's a whiney emo. Apple didn't fall far from that tree did it?

On topic: Who are the two who voted no, and what standards of 'good' for a movie are they using?

Good endings are for saps!

And because of that, a lot of people may hate the movie just because they're like that.

It will still be a good movie though.

Edit: SPOILERS A' GALORE!

The Godfather I and II.

There will be Blood.

Though it call be argued that in the Godfather II, Micheal won and lost at the same time. He's more powerful then ever, and his entire family is either dead or hates his guts.

There will be Blood. Plainview wins at the end...and ends up a bitter, twisted old man.

yea i would quite like to see a film with the bad gy running the good guy though with his sword at the end, or even one where its has an after then end thing that shows the bad guy to of been not so bad as the world descends into chaos after his death
