That's not true. Yet it can still be an opinion.

That is not an opinion...that is just a false statement. An opinion is something that someone feels personally that cannot be proven right or wrong. For example, "I enjoyed the movie." You cannot say this is incorrect, because that person personally enjoyed it and it cannot be proven true.

The dictionary says:

"A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof"

My example fits into that doesn't it?

Opinions presented or treated as factual arguments can certainly be wrong. Someone who's of the opinion that the Jain religion is comprised of violent thugs is not only wrong, but possibly high as well.
