I'll be cocky and vote "Like a master".

I can cook basically anything. I hardly ever use recipes - if I do, it's cause the dish is important enough to not screw up, and at the same time a new dish*.

Honestly - Almost anything you can come up with, and certainly everything eating regularly day-to-day, I can cook.

* New to me. Something I haven't cooked before.

I would say I`m a fairly decent cook. I sometimes use recipes, and then add them to my stable of food options, sometimes I just toss things together that I think would go well. That`s usually for my soups and stir-fry options.

I`m most proud of my roasted garlic soufflé. Took forever for me to get that right, and I still have them fall on occasion. It`s a mix of baking and cooking which is why it`s such a pain.

I can use a Microwave and oven. I used to cook basic stuff, but it just never tasted right.

I used to be just mediocre and could cook like 2 minute noodles, then my mum forces me to start learning to cook other stuff. So now I can cook the best dish of ribs, beans, corn and mashed potatos, just nothing else.

I love to cook! There is something about the feeling you get when you have cooked something fine and then share it with your friends/family. I love that!

I should be able to, as I took Food Tech as one of my GCSE subjects. Then again all I did in Food Tech was throw pencils into the polystyrene tile ceiling.

I'm not an American, so this needs explaining:
You're not being educated as a chef - instead you're studying(I suppose) for a degree in "culinary arts"? What - like at a university?

Sorry, but that just seems rather implausible. If it is indeed the case, please tell me why you're learning to cook at a university.

I can cook yeah, pretty well. Not just basic stuff (even though toast is my favourite foodstuff). I really enjoy cooking, best to do it in a good mood, cooking/baking when you are pissed off always turns out bad :(

Blame my grandmother and mother, I had cooking beaten in to me from age 3. I can cook, and I love to bake. (How gay did that sound, eh?)

Fairy cakes all round :)

I can make an awesome spaghetti bolognese...but it takes ages to clean the sauce out of the toaster afterwards.

I can't cook, but I wish I could, because whilst I'm a modern woman and all that, I love the idea of the 1930's housewife who cooked awesome meals and could make something great out of only a few ingredients. I don't want to be repressed, but I think it's still a lovely tradition; I'm not saying all women should still do the cooking yadda yadda, but I'd love to be like that. I'll learn one of these days!

I can cook, pretty well actually. Though I can never remember any of my recipes since they're all improvised. That's how I cook best.

Recently I've been cooking alot. I'm off to uni soon so I decided I should learn and I've found I'm not that bad at it.

Hell yeah. I have been self sufficient in the kitchen since about the age of 7. I'm not afraid to experiment and whenever I see something that I like, I find out what's in it and go home to make it. But since I usually don't get the exact ingredients or measurements, I end up improvising and modifying. Often times, creating a better version of the dish.
