I'm a pretty decent cook. Been in the kitchen with my dad (who is a master of improvisational cooking) since I was 7, and picked up a few of his recipes.

I've also managed to turn some near-disasters into yumminess. My roommates and I were trying to make tomato-soaked zucchini at one point, but I added too much tomato sauce. We threw in some more garlic and onion, added a little basil, parsley and oregano, and let it simmer down for awhile. Boom, marinara sauce studded with chunks of zucchini. Yummy.

I would say i can cook pretty well. Both my parents are very good cooks and my gran used to own a restaurant, which is where my dad learnt to cook. Also just finished first year of university so i'm used to cooking for myself. If i have to use a recipe i'll generally only need to use it once and i'll remember most of it after that

basic stuff. i should really learn though cos i'm living alone at university in a few months.

I couldn't cook at all at the start of this year, now I can to an extent. Was living in student accommodation and cooking for myself that did it. The trick is not to be afraid to try something that seems a little odd at first. You can come up with some really cool stuff just by tweaking a basic recipe.

Basic dinner dishes and such.
Nothing to elaborate, but I can make a very nice dinner from scratch.

I can cook reasonably well. Most things aren't too much of a challenge if I have the recipe in front of me. It'd probably be a disaster if I had to do something complex like a roast dinner. I honestly don't know how my dad can do it.

I'm a decent cook. Can't really make anything fancy without a recipe, but if you give me some raw ingredients I could probably make a dish you could eat without dying just fine. It might even taste good!

Of course, I have a rather simplistic way of cooking. I won't bother too hard for things I do to look like art as long as you can eat it.
