Sounds like the old unstoppable force vs immovable object design. Though if the force is unstoppable, then the object clearly isn't immovable, and vice versa.

I imagine the same rule applies to your knife/material dilemma.

beatcha to it

really, you're f**king kidding me. The question is neither logical, nor practical. This kind of question is created by people who want to sound smart by making other people look stupid. There is no answer, nor will there ever be. Also, you are an idiot. Thank you, and have a nice day.

Actually, they would both do the opposite of what they are intended to do. The knife will not cut the cube and the cube will in turn cut ITSELF. This will give the illusion that the knife is cutting the cube, so you could say that the knife cuts the cube...

Wait, I just ... This thread's the same as the other one? *Checks times* This one was first, eh? By one minute... Tricky basterds.

"The knife cuts everything." If it can't cut the cube it can't cut everything, so therefore, seeing as you're saying the knife exists, it must cut the cube.

No, you'll just rip a hole in the logic of the universe and doom us all because of it.
Gee, thanks. Nice job breaking it, dude.

Which was made first?

The Cube: At it's time of completion it was unbreakable but now that the knife is here it is not and can be cut.

The Knife: It used to be able to cut everything but now that the cube has been made it has discovered something which can not be cut.

A fun philosophical question. If something is unstoppable and encounters the unmobile, what would happen? It's really more of a koan, really: the very purpose of this question is not to come up with an answer, to confound your mind and realize that there's much more to life than clearcut answers.

However, if a clearcut answer is what you desire, insofar as science has been able to determine, either bodies of matter in which its molecules are completely inseparable or a forces that are completely unstoppable are physical impossibilities.

No, for creating a logical paradox the Gods will simply write you out of existence, thus preventing the Cube and the Knife from ever meeting.

The moral is don't whatever you do try and get smart with Gods...

This question is simple, and the answer is: Scientists have proven that the color of the universe is beige.

No. The knife may be able to cut through anything but do you really think you're strong enough to make it cut through that?

No, it would need to be a divine knife that cuts through everything...
I believe it would need to do Chaos damage actually.

Cookies for reference! and maybe a joke to go with it.

This is a new and original thought.

There is no correct answer to this question. Why bother asking it?

The material wouldn't be unbreakable if there was somthing that could cut through it. And a knife wouldn't be able to cut through anything if there was such a thing as an unbreakable material.
