Cats.

A dog will love you without reason, A cat has to think about it. And i admire that.

Whichever I think would taste best at the moment.

You want a serious answer? Sigh...fine.
Dog person.
They are just more fun than cats are.
And I'm allergic to the felines.

I can't decide, they both have their pros and cons. It really depends on what you look for in a pet.

Thats right! Dog will be your friend no matter who you are. Point for dogs.

Gotta go with cats. They have a certain elegance which isn't found in the majority of dogs.

I'm both, but in the end, I'll probably take a dog. The loyalty there is much greater than cats, though I suppose it varies in both animals.

When a dog looks you in the eyes, there is absolutely nothing there.

When a cat looks you in the eyes, he's figuring out how to kill you in your sleep.

I respect the cat, because there is actually some level of intelligence there, as opposed to just learning by being taught that certain behaviours warrant certain responses.

This coming from a person with a cat who watched me open the door for a few years, then taught himself how to open it.

I'm gonna go with dogs on this one, because cats to me seem like drama queens. They prance around looking for attention in an almost Paris Hilton sort of way, the males piss everywhere except the litter box, and if they don't like you, well youre screwed cause they will make your life as miserable as possible. Dogs are loyal, friendly, don't require a litter box, and mostly just lie about minding their own business. Go Dogs!!

I like them both but in the end I'll choose cats. I used to be (and probably still am) allergic to dogs which created a fear of them for me.

Cats. They're more self-sufficient and easier to care for, more fun to pet, and contrary to their reputation, every cat I've owned has been rather affectionate, even when food isn't involved.

Cats are easier to care for, but dogs are more fun. But I'm a lazy person, so I choose cats.

Cats. They're quiet, require less attention than dogs, and it's a blast watching all the crazy shit they do.

Neither.. if you are a real man you get one of these as a pet.

Only drawback is you can't have kids if you own one of these. And it's really hard to feed unless you live in a neighbourhood full of small dogs.

EDIT: Oh alright of the two presented me love my furry little kitty :D

I'm a cat person generally, but I do love dogs, so I'll go with either. I'm actually guilty of having two different versions of Nintendogs.

I avoid stupid animals as much as I avoid stupid people, so I'm a cat person all the way. Dogs can do tricks, but cats can as well, they simply choose not to. Instead they learn useful skills like opening doors on their own. That's pretty impressive for a quadruped. Also, cats don't slobber.
