It's the purring that I like the most. Like some small drills going on all the time.

My mom bought 2 black kitties so after being a frequent visitor on http://icanhascheezburger.com/ I'll instantly recall them as Basement cat.

In my opinion they are more fun to play around with. It's also nice when they like you and you just need to sit down and they will jump up to you to get free cuddles.

Dogs. Cats aren't pets so much as ornaments. With dogs you can actually sense the connection. With cats is feels much more like you're the food machine.

Dogs just give off a far more friendly vibe.

I've always gotten along with dogs a lot more. They feel more like a companion. They follow you places do minor tasks for you and love you no matter how big a screw-up you are.

Dogs suit my temperment more.

Second,cats are favoured by artists,dogs are favoured by soldiers. Dog is blindly loyal,and if master orders to,it will murder someone without any consideration. Dog is the epitome of conformism. DOG IS THE MAN.

And since i'm an artistic person who also happens to dislike conformism and establishment...

According to Lobsang Rampa's autobiography sacred temples in the region are gaurded with cats because you dont' need to train them to hurt people - they just do it anyway. Though that could be complete bull but I believe it's likely or possible

Cats, I prefer them for a lot of the reasons people have already stated.
They are easier to look after, at times they are more affectionate, they can be described as cute always, cheaper to maintain, smell better, less noisy.

Cats are awesome.

I'm a cat person.

Because Dog's are probably the ugliest animal I've ever seen, they're too loud and obnoxious... And they're, dare I say it, stupid. Also I hate stroking a dog, they feel... I don't know, icky, and in a way greasy.

Cat's however are cuter, nice too touch, usually a lot calmer, they're also a lot smarter it seems, or more aware of whats happening. If I'm ill and lying in bed sick, my cat always comes and lays next to me and licks me (I don't like being licked but it's a nice gesture), whereas if I lie down for a simple nap my cat won't bother me.
Also, cats are way more hug-able.


Of course, bare in mind this is just my opinion.

Cats. They're quite, peaceful, don't stink, (for the most part) don't destroy your stuff, and they will come up and love on you when they want to.

Dogs are too needy.

Dogs are too loud, too destructive, and they smell too bad for me. I have a dog, but I prefer cats.
