I would make a post about the issue, but you're clearly trying to get rise out of me. Instead I'm going to note that everything you say makes me think that you've poorly coded something and are using members of members of members... instead of figuring out how objects work. Also, this thread is now about programming... You're welcome.

I personally prefer cats, because I get all of the cuddles and companionship I want without having to devote any serious time to the animal. Cats are perfect if you want a pet that doesn't require much investment. If you have the time and the inclination, dogs are probably better.

Oh my god. None of them are better, its a matter of what you prefer.
People who like cats say that dogs are stupid and just follow like idiots.
People who like dogs say that cats are stupid and only care for themselves.
Truth is that both are animal, furter bound to their instincts than we are, but also individuals.
We had a dog when i grew up, very loyal, but he was also stubborn and wouldnt follow commands that seemed stupid to him.
A friend of mine has a cat, who will allways wait for her to get home and hates the postman.

Sorry, I thought this was common knowledge, we cats are superior to humans and dogs. Is there LOLdogs? No. Were cats worshipped by the egyptians? Yes

I have two cats and two dogs. One of the cats was raised from a kitten and the other we got when he was close to adulthood, both dogs were raised from puppies. I could never say one pet is superior to the other for it would be like compare apples and burgers, they're both there for the same reason but perform vastly differently from one another. If I was forced to choose, gun to my head though, I'd say dogs because in general they're far more loveable creatures, plus all dogs I've known try a lot harder to endear themselves, rather bloody fat gary, lying there then proceeding to gorge himself, bloody beached whale is a better description than cat.

Cats are like Apple products.

Totally overrated

Owners have a superiority complex

(is what cats are)

Dogs are far more loyal than cats, cats think for themselves too much.
I'm.stunned.at.your.animosity!...Yes,.cats.do.tend.to.think.for.themselves..That.is.part.of.their.charm.

And.while.loyalty.may.be.what.you.prefer...I.personally.prefer.charm.over.slavish.devotion.

Personally, I prefer something that isn't actively trying to kill me.

Cats don't even understand cause and effect [http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2009/jun/16/psychologist-test-outsmarts-cats], so they're not at as intelligent as cat owners imply ¬_¬
My cat troubleshoots his water fountain thingy whenever it stops working by opening it up, looking inside, and fiddling with it with his thumbless paw. He also operates the flow rate. My family didn't even know it had a flow control until the cat was caught playing with it. Unless my cat is just a small genius, then I believe your argument is invalid.
Ah, anecdotal evidence.

The best kind.

How ever can I stand up against such proof? ¬_¬

Wouldn't even things like pawing at a human to get them to wake up count as understanding cause and effect? I'm not a psychologist so I'm almost definitely wrong. I still think that experiment used a tiny sample.

Stupid or not, I think cats are just generally the more attractive animal. People claim they aren't loyal and compared to dogs they aren't, but when I come home the first thing my cat does is jump on my lap. They're a good lazy persons pet, you have to do little in return, and still get the advantages of a warm furry thing to lounge around with.

I still like dogs when other people have them, it's just as someone who has always grown up with cats I find their lack of independence really fucking annoying.

AWWWWWH!!!

All the cool kittens are doing it.

Back to the first point, cause and effect:

Meh, talk to me when the cat starts fetching beer.

Just a little teasing on my part.
I fell for your ruse. How very cat-like of you.

Why would a cat lower itself to fetching?

Although I have to admit, that's an impressive pooch.

Any cat that brings you a dead bird, for one (IF you're in denial about it being a warning, that is :p)
