Why would I ever want to help elves?

This. First of all, how do I know these Elves are innocent? For all I know they are complete bastards and their oppressive rulers are just innocent soldiers. Why should I go slaughter them mindlessly? Second, if I have body armor that makes me invincible why would I need to bother with any other tactic other than punching the shit out of anything? Even if I prefer to be sneaky, it wouldn't matter since I'm trying to sneak around in a suit of body armor. And why is there even magical body armor that makes me invincible just lying around.

Personally, I would just go roll up in a corner and cry since I am now in a cruel and hostile world and everyone I ever knew is gone.

Your telling me that I'm freeing the entire population of Elves? Well that pretty much eliminates any options of dealing with the situation with stealth and subterfuge, since after freeing numerous Elf prisons I'm sure they would be able to easily identify the guy running around in magical body armor freeing the elves.

Would freeing the Elves do them any good anyways? It seems that society hates them so if I freed all of them they would just be persecuted even more. Plus the economy is likely to be dependent on using the elves as slave labor to function, so removing that could easily cripple the nation. The only proper way to deal with this situation would be to slowly remove the need to use Elves as slave labor. Attempt to advance technology so that slave labor is no longer profitable, and try and diminish the social tensions between the two races. Not run around chopping off peoples heads, as that doesn't really solve anything other than make me look like a maniac.

Well me freeing the elves by slaughtering their captors would not help anyone. The hatred towards the Elves would still exist, only now people would hate them even more for joining me in my rebellion. As soon as I leave they would most likely end up in the same situation. Plus the rapid removal of slavery would leave the economy in a state of disarray, most likely leading to people suffering as a result. People would blame this all on the Elves of course. I really wouldn't be helping them. I'd arguably be making things worse.

It's just not as simple as running up to some evil tyrant and decapitating him to solve all of the social and economic problems. You have to think about the consequences of your actions.

How could I, one person, be an entire Armada of Armed Elves?

Depends where you get elves from. In LotR movies, they're classified as tall. In quite a few references, actually. In DnD they're considered smaller than your average human.

Actually.. I can see why you'd kick a midget. I'm an Aussie, just make an AFL joke whilst doing so and I'd get away with it, which would be hilariously funny.

I don't really like invincible armor.. I'm a genius, grasping complex ideas before someone's explained it fully. Which is rather boring.. If you can read a novel in <20mn, where's the suspense? Just read the next one as well. So I'd drop the invincible armor. Possibly some +3 armor from ADnD, but +100^n is just stupid.

Any of those 4 would be acceptable. I'd probably combo up, doing whichever I felt like for a particular day.
