I would say to those who say 'well it prevents problems', well, why not have your toes cut off too? After all, you don't really need them to stand, especially if you have it done young enough to adapt to the change. As a result, no infections or fungus between the toes, and you can buy smaller shoes! Joking, of course, but you can see why us in Europe find your country mad in this regard.
Toes are used in balance, they are also there to secure your footing. plus they look cute.

The only medical reason to be circumcised was to reduce the chance of bacteria growing inside the foreskin, which is easily avoid by cleaning it in the shower, which most guys do anyway, so the only reason nowadays is religious, and they're not real good reasons to mutilate a child's genital organs.
and again, I will list the found medical benefits of circumcision:
Medical:
Numerous studies indicate that circumcision decreases the incidence of childhood urinary tract infections (Kinkade et al. 2005) and adult penile
cancer (Kinkade et al., 2005; Loughlin, 2005).
There is also strong evidence that circumcision provides increased protection against
HIV, the virus that causes AIDS(Auvert et al., 2005; Baeten et al., 2005 Reynolds et al., 2004).
Evidence also suggests that circumcision reduced the risk of
genital warts infection but may provide no protection against other STD's, including genital herpes, gonorrhea, and syphillis (MacLean, 2005; Reynolds et al., 2004)
-taken from the text "Our sexuality" by Crooks and Baur [10th edition]
It is NOT just "reducing the chance of bacteria".
Edit: ALSO, Stop calling it mutilation for crying out loud. More than half of those who say they are circumcised don't even remember the procedure. Seeing as it is done not long after your born. It's a medical procedure in a controlled and clean environment.
