Poll: Classes in online shooters

I love sniper rifles, but my weapon of choice is the sidearm of the sniper rifle in most games, the pistol, mostly because I know how angry someone I killed with it will be and because of how strong they usually are

The sniper rifle hands down. What isn't more satisfying that pegging that guy who's dominating you in the head. Like in Team Fortress 2, sniping heavies, scouts, and disguised spies are just too entertaining. It's stress relief at its best.

Gotta go assault rifle. Would have said sniper, if not for the fact that I do feel like somewhat of a bastard picking people off from the otherside of a map... no disrespect to any snipers out there though, just a personal bit.

I agree,it makes the game better when you can play people who have the same strengths and weaknesses.The game is more balanced and the frustration of a sniper picking you off when you like cqc with the shotgun is eliminated. DAMN SNIPERS.

I love me my sniper rifle, but find that I tend to pick the class with the assault rifle. It's just so versatile that I love my assault rifles... though give me a good sniper any day.

Marksman assault rifle. Since that's what the COD4 sniper rifles are. In most other games they're slow and kick a lot.
I still prefer snipers though.

My favourite style of play is 'Death from above'. I always go for aircraft if I can. Or, when I'm sniping: cockney weasel.

You know COD4 isn't the only good shoot'em up, right? PLAY BATTLEFIELD 2/2142 DAMMIT!!

Missing the 'Melee' option, most games have a weapon that has infinite ammo, or simply a melee weapon (though not technically a gun).

I myself change weapons A LOT, just so I can change tactics every now and then. Melee and Pistols are reliable backdrops, so I picked Pistols here.
