Can't argue with that. These days, when I see them trying to attract me to the game with hot girls I usually think the worst of it. A lot of the covers I see just showing models to advertise games do really end up pathetic in the end, and with that experience I don't give a shit anymore. I don't mean to generalise but that's how it turns out.MaxPowers666 said:Hey I dont buy them for the sex appeal but if there is a cover with say a hot looking chick on it then im most likely going to pick it up and look at it. If I purchase the game it wont be because of the sex appeal it will be because it actually looks good, but it did help get the game into my hands. So it doesnt influence the final decision on if I buy the game or not but it will definatly causes me to notice the game.Nazulu said:Oh yeah, every man snaps up anything with a beautiful women on it, they are completely hypnotized by models. No chance that some men are different, all of them are the same.
Your the only one I believe to be talking carp here buddy.
Ok I do admit that I had a copy of dead or alive beach volleyball. But screw you all it was a burnt copy that I got from a buddy.
Same here. I don't buy games because of sex appeal--As a matter of fact, an overuse of sexuality in a game's promo is a real deterrent for me. To me, that just implies that either the game is going to be highly pornographic, which I absolutely do not want to see, or that the game's developers are hiding horrible content behind shiny but minor details.aquaman839 said:I chose Lemons, because there was no flat NO answer.

"Rarely, if ever" is the no option, specifically the "if ever" part of the phrase (if not rarely, then never). The poll is a sort of continuum, since precisely determining how sex appeal affects consumer behavior is not practical.aquaman839 said:I chose Lemons, because there was no flat NO answer. I think about sex for a good amount of time perday. But in gaming never. I actually don't really like tits in games, meaning actual nudity. Maybe I'm old school, but it just seems stupid.
That denotes that it enters my decision making in some form of process, when it does not at all. I know that's the closest choice to my position. However, the poll is not accurate because the OP seems to think that it at least has some influence on everyone. Which as you can see from some of the responses in this thread that it does not on a lot of people.razelas said:"Rarely, if ever" is the no option, specifically the "if ever" part of the phrase (if not rarely, then never).
