So with both Microsoft and Sony now having a subscription based online plan but offering bonus games with the online subscription I am curious what you as gamers would prefer.

Well I would prefer free online play but I have no problem paying for it...as long as that's not it.

Paying for ONLY online access is no longer acceptable to me. This is where the PS+ program is a big part of why my console allegiances this generation are shifting over to Sony. I own both the 360 and PS3 (and it's likely that I will eventually own both the PS4 and X1) with the 360 being my primary console. However, paying $60 to play online is no longer enough to me and Games for Gold is such an absolute joke that I don't even count it in my decision.

I understand why Sony needs to start forcing PS+ for multiplayer. It sucks but I feel that they're doing it the right way while Microsoft is spinning its wheels in the past.

Eh you get what you pay for or don't pay for. Keep the free games but give me the games online I want when i want to play them, and I'll only pay for it one i want to play them. I guess the good example here would be the wii u, maybe if nintendo was making at least a small amount of income off online they would have made games like nintendoland, pikmin 3, NSMBU and world with Online play and a good online interface.

I prefer the free online. I've had PS+ in the past, and the free games deal kinda sucks IMO. You never know which games are gonna go free, and if you'll be interested in any of them. You also can't play them offline, which is inconvenient for me.

I understand that if you're gonna force users to pay for online, it's better that Sony at least decided to add SOME value, but if you compare with other online services like Steam and plenty of PC games, paying for online features is debatably not justified.

You're paying for your internet service already, you shouldn't be paying on top of that to use the internet on a console. I'd rather just have the option available to go with free online or use PS+, like the current PS3 system.

Free games. I'm not too poor not to be able to afford 4$ a month. Plus the games you get for free ( regardless of if you like them are not) are worth more than that. Add to the fact they sometimes have reduced pricing on certain games the service practically pays for itself.

I'd prefer free because I'd want to buy the games I want, and I rarely play online so I don't see that service worth anything.

Tempting as "complimentary games" are, I don't like being force-fed every month with TWO games I don't pick for myself. I'd rather play online for free (which I do) and buy myself the bestest game for myself every now and then.

I have a subscription to PS Plus purely for the free games and deals. I own a PS3 and a Vita and I've gotten some pretty sweet games out of it (Gravity Rush, Catherine, Metal Gear Rising, Spec Ops: The Line etc).

Other games I could have got but already owned were Uncharted 3 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

I don't play online multiplayer anymore but I would still keep my subscription when I eventually get a PS4 for the free games and deals.

I don't care/have never cared for online play or bothering with paid subscriptions, but if I seriously had to choose, I'd subscribe to PS+ for the complimentary games and nothing else.

Complimentary games is certainly an easy choice for me. I don't play online outside of a few sessions with friends on games like RE6, Red Dead Redemption, etc. However, I do tend to buy a lot of games. So complimentary games in return for a small monthly fee is definitely right up my alley.

I'd pay for it if it was provably a good, reliable service with lots of options. And it wasn't as plastered with advertisements as the non-paid version.

I'd rather play for free. I don't like every game out there, even if it is free. I'd much rather get to play whenever I want than get force fed mediocre games or games I wouldn't look twice at.

Same here I rarely play online but I like to be able to jump on every so often and have a few games however its usually weeks if not months between each session. Free games arent that appealing especially the ones on gold (they seem really old ones mostly) as the free games are usually pretty cheap to buy anyway and odds are I will have it already or be getting it if I was interested in it, plus I dont have that much time to play games so I have more than enough to satisfy me without needing more free games.

I stopped my 360 subscription because I didnt find it value for money and am happy with the free service PS3 provides (havent noticed any difference between it and 360 tbh except for forming parties and crap) but I sure as hell arent paying for online on Xbox One (if I ever get it) and PS4.

The games, probably, assuming it's decent titles.
That is if I were to play online. Don't do that on consoles, so in general I don't care at all.

My stance these days would be free, I don't have the free time to game a lot anymore so subscribing feels like a waste of money and time after being an MMO grunt for years.
