My contacts don't bother me as much as my glasses did. My glasses constantly got crooked, too tight, or slipped down my nose. My contacts get dry occasionally, but it's not frequent, so they're the clear winner here. The only downside is I can't sleep with them in.

I like no having something sitting on my face, it bothers me, plus i look better with contacts than glass.

Glasses!

Seriously, i can't "use" contact lenses. (is it use or wear?) Eyes have a shape like a egg, but mine is closer to a football! 8 years ago, they said contact lenses would force my eyes to return to a proprer form. It didn't work. It was like i was poke in the eyes and I coundn't wear them for more than a hour. It a shame really because for the first time, I didn't saw a blurred space like the kind you get when you look over your glasses.

So, I'm saving for laser surgery. When i get the dought, i'll let you know!
The reason they didn't fix the shape was because you didn't keep them in.

They will reshape your eyes, generally without a doubt. But it's a rather uncomfortable process, and you have to keep them in despite this. If you were taking the contacts out after an hour, that's why it didn't work out for you.

That's also a reason why it's not generally recommended, as most people can't handle lasting through it until it's fixed.
I knew that. But imagine getting stab in the eyes with burning arrows. That what it felt like. I coudn't stand them for more than that and coudn't see anything in the process. My eyes keep on weeping and with the constant pain, i coudn't keep them open for very long. But i heard that laser surgerie, they cut a bit of the cornea. I think they can cut a bit to reshape my eyes... i hope

I wear glasses. Actually I wear them a lot less than I should, but my eyesight is not really poor enough at the moment to need them most of the time.

I couldn't deal with contacts, I hate things involving eyes.

Contacts due to glasses not suiting me and because of the sports I play, I think boxing with glasses would be kinda hazardous to my health (and my glasses) also enables me to wear sunglasses.

I like having the peripheral vision that contacts give me (really, really handy in situations where stuff is low and you have to hold your head at an uncomfortable angle to see it through the lenses on glasses), but I hate the feeling of contacts after the first few hours. My eyes tend to be drier and about 3 hours into the day my contacts are already a blurry, uncomfortable mess, so I gave up on them...expensive, too...

I have glasses. I hate them. I can't do anything sports related because if I get whacked in the face, I'm fucked. If I don't wear my glasses, I'm at a disadvantage. I want contacts so badly. Laser eye surgery later.

Contacts ftw!

No danger of losing or breaking them, you can see perfectly around your whole field of vision, rain doesn't affect you as much.

They're so useful.

Not only do I not trust my hands enough for me to put 2 very small plastic discs directly on my eyeballs, glasses also make me look a lot better.

I love my specs and I wouldn't trade them in for contacts for a thousand bucks.

I've worn glasses pretty much all my life. I swapped to contacts under recommendation when I was about 16. They were hard lens. About 2 years later I started using soft lenses for going out to gigs and pubs and stuff, theyre just easier to take out and throw away.

One night when coming home I got mugged and beaten up. The soft lens I had in got forced off my eye because of a punch to it. My eye was blood shot for some time. Since then I rarely wear my soft lenses even, but I dont think I'll ever touch the hard ones in a million years. The thought of having it broken in my eye, it's just horrible.

Long story short, if you're going to wear contacts, wear the soft lenses.

I've worn glasses since I was three (and an eyepatch before that (sweet, huh?!)), so I cannot think of NOT wearing them

I do hate the plastic, thick-sided "fashionable" glasses everyone wears these days. I'll go for my durable metal-frames ones any day of the week

Even soft lenses can damage your retina -- let alone what happens if stuff gets caught behind them (like volcanic dust), or if you lose them on your eye bulb...

Glasses ftw.

Oval eyeshape means that even soft lenses cut into my eyes. FUCK YEAH GLASSES.

But really, I don't mind. People just don't even recognise me without specs, so it has its advantages.

Ive worn contact lenses for a few years. I think they are awesome, I always have trouble with glasses falling off my face! The only drawback I find with lenses is that I occasionally forget to take them out before going to bed and Its horrible having to peel them off my eyes the next morning, and then getting shouted at by my sister who's training to be an optician
