Who cares if I'm wrong? Stop correcting me, it's annoying!

I have annoying friends that enjoy saying, "Jim and I" in the middle of a story. Like, really grammar corrections, if your not interested in listening to the story then why did you ask about it.
Being corrected when I'm factually wrong is A-OK.

My spelling is aweful awful rubbish. I do make quite a few mistakes in my posts but I try to make sure that all the words are correct. If someone points out that I've made a mistake then I will fix it and thank them for pointing it out to me. It's a bit pointless but if it makes people happy, then I wont stop them.

[small]Did anybody else make sure that they typed everything correct in their post or was it just me?[/small]

I fit somewhere between the 'Stop correcting me, it's annoying' option, and the 'I hate being wrong. Correct me if I am.' option. And by that I don't mean I am middle ground, I mean I am either heavily one way or heavily the other.

This is my rule when correcting others:
If the typo is so bad that what is said is unintelligible, then it should be corrected. If it's a minor error and you feel the need to correct it, then you better damn well have some other input to make on the individuals comment to keep the discussion moving.

As for people correcting me, go for it. If I clearly had a flaw in my line of thinking or grammar then I am likely to thank you for the correction.

People get mad because it is next to impossible not to sound snobby or like a know-it-all when typing.
