Probably the best team for the job I'd say. Most here agree that Bioware's greatest strength is writing good dialogue, and well over half the time in the series outside of the original whereas Kirk just beat the aliens up, the key to solving the cosmic dilemma of the day was talking the villain to death; hitting their vulnerable nerve, outsmarting them, or else convincing one of their minions to turn on them.
The rest of the time required ship-to-ship combat, which several games such as Star Trek Legacy have managed to make fun despite Trek ships' general lack of agility. For that I would like to see a customizable ship you get to name and reconfigure with whatever technology you've managed to procure. In the end your ship can look like whatever vessel from the series you felt was the coolest-looking.
If they were to focus entirely on creating an deep and engrossing single-player experience (one that most likely culminates in your crew saving the galaxy) with a diverse and interesting crew, that could be the first Trek game I'd ever buy. I wonder if John de Lancie would be willing to come back and provide voice work for Q?
