The shear concept is really horrible already so, yeah. I mean, they have organizations going around stealing pokemon and making them work. So, play it out from a poke-perspective then probably. Like, growing up with your parents then being beat up, locked in an dimensional sphere and made to fight until being traded away to a different region and never being allowed to see your parents again... well that's more sad then horror...

Pokemon could definitely pull off horror, but it's probably not going to happen.
The reason I'm so certain is a picture a friend of mine sent to me about a year ago that I CANNOT UNSEE. Search around the web for horror pikachu or w/e and you'll see what I mean.

I have a prototype Pokemon Game that was never published. It consists entirely of Pidgin English, AKA very badly translated, with the creators having no full understanding of the English language. You "Catch" Pokemon by beating them in the wild, and acquiring their Cell Phone Numbers. Really. And in fights, you can call in a couple friends, since you only have 1 that travels with you. Sometimes they get lost and are delayed, or need to go somewhere else after their turn. The main villain is some bloke who wants to build a Curry shop, and you need to stop him for some reason. The game is for GameBoyColor and it's memory will save NOTHING. Also, you can give your monsters Drills, Wallets, Revolvers (YES A GUN), Rocket Launchers, Lasers, Glasses and other weird crap. I couldn't see any difference after giving my favorite monster 5 drills and 20 lasers, and for some reason, the "Boss" monster that I fight in the first area has a super laser attack, and after beating him, I get his number. I have only gotten up to the second area, before my power runs out (since I do not know what I need to do in the game). Hell, If I can get a video camera, I will upload it to Youtube.

This is kind of the basis of my Pokemon RP (too an extent)

Hmkmm... Nurse Joy with a claver... am I the only one who finds that kind of attractive in some sick way?
Uhm. I always wondered how Pokemons like Pincer or Scyther can scratch humans, but can't kill them.
Oh, oh, I've got another idea! Mewtwo ripping people apart with psychotic abilities! NO, BETTER! Zubats attacking everyone and sucking out their blood! Too obvious? How about Charizards attacking humans from above, grabbing them with claws (piercing skin and flesh, maybe bone too) and then eating by slowly roasting on open flame?
I am insane, I know.

Damn, beat me to it. The possessed healers(?) that would shout "BLOOD!" before attacking you were actually disturbing. Especially against the relatively light-hearted nature of the rest of game.quack35 said:

Tauros stampede kills many, humans retaliate with guns (you even see guns in an episode, other than Officer Jenny's), Pokemon become wary of the humans, Mewtwo leads a coup d'état against the human race. The world (or at least the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh regions, and other regions/islands with Pokemon) will erupt into an internal conflict between species. Families will be torn apart, some Pokemon staying with beloved human partners, others killing their partners in their sleep then presenting the bloody right ears as a bounty to the Pokemon Confederation.
How does a Pokemon Apocalypse sound? There have been plenty of end-of-the-world scenarios throughout the games and shoes and movies.
