Im going to have to use the same defence i use for the question, "What do you think of homosexuals?".

And the answer i will give is, "Im 100% fine with theyer belifes, musical tastes, life style, and sexual preferances, as long as they dont try to convert me."

Im completely fine with dating a vegitarian. Hell, id be completely fine with dating a cannible. But as long as they dont try to convert me ((or eat me)) i would love them all the same.

Like, if my best friend ((whos gayer then a double rainbow over a lake of happy unicorns)) tryed to have sex with me, his teeth would end up firmly planted in the sidewalk, and his genitals hanging from an telephone poll.

Ofcourse, he knows this, and would never try it, but you get what i mean. I have no problem whatso ever, as long as they dont push theyer life style ((or penis)) on me.

Right below this thread is another one entitled 'Why are you a vegetarian?'. This coupling confuses me in ways I cannot comprehend. Yes, I believe I could love a vegetarian, unless they were in any way similar to one of the few I know who is the ultimate poser-hippy. Goddamn I detest that try-hard cow.

As far as I'm concerned, being unable to love someone based on the ethical issues of diet just doesn't seem to be a pivotal factor to me.
However, being unable to love someone because of the chosen ignorance and disrespect of ethical issues of diet does seem a valid reason.

Vegan/Vegetarian? no problem.
Obnoxious and dogmatic about it? there's the door.
same for omnivores.

Sure, unless they spent every meal preaching about stuff. I guess we'd just have to make an effort to eat at places that cater for vegans/vegetarians. I don't eat a lot of meat anyhow, so it wouldn't be too hard. Might even help me stop eating meat altogether, which I don't necessarily see as a bad thing.

As long as they weren't after me to give up my meat then I don't see the problem... My girlfriend loves tomatoes, I don't. Should I leave her? We obviously aren't meant for each other if our diets are different.

As I am a vegetarian I could quite easily love another vegetarian.

As for loving a meat-eater, I'm okay with other people's beliefs, I just probably wouldn't want to kiss them immediately after they'd eaten some would be all.
This. And cooking meals could be a bit annoying. I guess I'll say I'd really prefer it if he were vegetarian as well but I could probably get over it.

A vegitarian? Easily, so long as she didn't lecture me or preach, just as I wouldn't seriously attempt to convert her. Sure, I might tease, and I wouldn't mind playful jabbing back and forth (heck I'd love it), but I don't need a girlfriend to tell me how to live my life, that's why we have politicians.

I doubt I could love a vegan though. I have known one who wasn't crazy/preachy, and so yeah... that automatically fails the litmus test then. If she was cool about stuff, then fine, even though it'd make things difficult, I could deal. But also, there's just not a whole lot of logic to veganism, so it's more difficult for me to respect in the first place, and again, less people seem to follow it who are governed by reason, and thusly, insane.

As long as they didn't hassle me about eating meat, or try to force their views on me, then I wouldn't care. That is assuming that they're vegetarian due to ideals, of course. People become vegetarians for other reasons, too.

Probably wouldn't work with me, im a carnivore xD Less Rabbit food more meat xD

Also ya, most of the veggies ive met have usually given me lectures on why im in the wrong about it. but I normally respond with a quote from Ron White "I Didn't climb to the top of the fucking food chain to eat carrots, what are you nuts?"

I Dont mind Veggies in the least but if they start getting high and mighty about me eating meat then things aint gonna work out

A Vegetarian? Sure I could get behind a vegetarian. Now a vegan, thats a different story. I dont know if I could put up with the bitching about not wanting to kill plants and only taking what falls off, my guess is I may be to busy slapping some sense into her to find the time to love her. Even further then this, freegan, I would just kill them. Unless you have some life threatening heart disease eat a burger!

My first reaction is yeah sure, but I have been with a guy who had a restricted diet and it was annoying as hell. It doesn't sound like much but you have to eat a lot, if it bothers you it will bother you everyday. Also cooking for a guy is like my only seduction technique. I guess if the guy was worth it.

yes but... I can't live without KFC, cheeseburgers, ribs or steak so as long as they don't mind me pigging out on animals then i don't see why i couldn't love them :)

Um. Why is this even a debate? What possible reason could there be that sets them apart from others? Love should not be due to what food they eat.
