Unlikely, I don't value my own life very highly.

I wouldn't do so for a family member, but I know I would if it was to defend my best friend.

It wouldn't make a difference, if he/she was threatening my best friend I would remove them before they hurt her.

Hmmmm. I can't really give a for sure answer for this one way or the other.

An up-close kill gives you a sense of knowing the person and sometimes makes killing harder. A ranged weapon allows you to keep a distance and a sense of separation, allowing for an easier kill.

A stranger, probably not, I'm not a very sympathetic human, but I would still kill the person trying to mess with me...the stranger would just get hella lucky.

To protect my missus or other family member, I'd do whatever it took to protect them. I'd try not to kill the person, but if an accident happens (eg I hit them and they hit their head and die when they fall over) then I wont shed a tear as they had attacked me.

A:Yes. (am tempted to say "Of course")

A:Since i cannot decide FOR them i may or may not be quicker to try another option or hold off the decision rather than escalade something. May prove fatal. (Also to show violence - i am conditioned in that way i guess)

A:Yes... but seriously: I think i prefer close-up. It put things in perspective... makes it harder. Just shooting one who never saw you is much more dangerous to your own morals and value of self.

A: Same as Family Member...

But of course ALL depends on the circumstances: If i CANNOT kill somebody directly who positivly HAS to die, i may turn to treachery and dishonorable behavior. IF there is no way out, NO CHANCE at all, then all reason MUST GO and it is time for a berserker rage (or pretty much near that).

Oh and just for the information: I am one of the most calm, reasonable and nice man one can meet. I have never killed anybody (yet) and have a huge patience for rudeness and aggressive behaviour. But i also have a clear limit (which no one reached yet) where i have to change the opposing faction through sheer force without hesitation. It is a philosophical thing i guess. But yes i am fully aware of what i am capable of and what it takes.

If absolutly, 100%, no other possible way to defend myself, yes.

Even more so, if it was in defence of others and myself, I would destory that person if he/she was trying to take the life of my family (or super close friends)

A little. I'm not sure I could kill someone with my hands or a weapon, even though I know how to break someones neck effectily and how basicly pull someone appart (thanks to years of self-defence classes). If I had like, a sword or a baseball bat or something, it would be easyer for the up-close kill, but if I had to do it with my bare hands, I don't know if I could kill someone.

Probobly a little. I would want the stranger to live as well, but between my life and his/hers, I would put myself first, just as they would do for them. At least, thats what I think.

As stated above yes, altho I'd try to disable rather then kill (not permanently disable, just till police arrive)

Yes I would be a little more careful but I would do what is necessary and better for the big picture.

I think so. If I didn't have to see quite what I had just done it would make me feel better.

I don't think so. It's a person who is in danger and they need my help I couldn't change anything just because I don't know them. Maybe they could be my best friend or my worst enemy in the future.
