Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
Unlikely, I don't value my own life very highly.

Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
I wouldn't do so for a family member, but I know I would if it was to defend my best friend.

Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
It wouldn't make a difference, if he/she was threatening my best friend I would remove them before they hurt her.

Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Hmmmm. I can't really give a for sure answer for this one way or the other.

Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own. Yes, I'm a selfish human being and if someone has to die for me to live, than so be it.

Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction? I would kill to protect my friends, no doubt there, my family though...debatable at best.

Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you? An up-close kill gives you a sense of knowing the person and sometimes makes killing harder. A ranged weapon allows you to keep a distance and a sense of separation, allowing for an easier kill.

Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
A stranger, probably not, I'm not a very sympathetic human, but I would still kill the person trying to mess with me...the stranger would just get hella lucky.

No, I utterly hate my life and would welcome anybody willing to end it.
Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Again, no, I don't value their lives much either.
Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
A bullet is a bullet. Does not matter where it is fired from
Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Depends on the circumstances. For example, does the stranger deserve life?
I'm not sure if this is more sad or pathetic but i think you should probably go downstairs and talk to mummy and daddy about it.

To protect my missus or other family member, I'd do whatever it took to protect them. I'd try not to kill the person, but if an accident happens (eg I hit them and they hit their head and die when they fall over) then I wont shed a tear as they had attacked me.

Well frankly I'd do anything if I had enough reason to do so.

By saying that I would say "self defence" is more than enough.

Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
A:Yes. (am tempted to say "Of course")

Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
A:Since i cannot decide FOR them i may or may not be quicker to try another option or hold off the decision rather than escalade something. May prove fatal. (Also to show violence - i am conditioned in that way i guess)

Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
A:Yes... but seriously: I think i prefer close-up. It put things in perspective... makes it harder. Just shooting one who never saw you is much more dangerous to your own morals and value of self.

Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
A: Same as Family Member...

But of course ALL depends on the circumstances: If i CANNOT kill somebody directly who positivly HAS to die, i may turn to treachery and dishonorable behavior. IF there is no way out, NO CHANCE at all, then all reason MUST GO and it is time for a berserker rage (or pretty much near that).

Oh and just for the information: I am one of the most calm, reasonable and nice man one can meet. I have never killed anybody (yet) and have a huge patience for rudeness and aggressive behaviour. But i also have a clear limit (which no one reached yet) where i have to change the opposing faction through sheer force without hesitation. It is a philosophical thing i guess. But yes i am fully aware of what i am capable of and what it takes.

Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
If absolutly, 100%, no other possible way to defend myself, yes.
Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Even more so, if it was in defence of others and myself, I would destory that person if he/she was trying to take the life of my family (or super close friends)
Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
A little. I'm not sure I could kill someone with my hands or a weapon, even though I know how to break someones neck effectily and how basicly pull someone appart (thanks to years of self-defence classes). If I had like, a sword or a baseball bat or something, it would be easyer for the up-close kill, but if I had to do it with my bare hands, I don't know if I could kill someone.
Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Probobly a little. I would want the stranger to live as well, but between my life and his/hers, I would put myself first, just as they would do for them. At least, thats what I think.

In this case, the word trigger is really metaphorical. I'm not talking about guns, so much as asking if you feel that when push comes to shove, when your life is on the line, could you take the life of the person trying to take yours?
And I used hitting as an example, guns are illegal in Australia (except for police or for certain reasons).

To answer these in order:
Definitely, No, Only the amount of time it would take for me to kill them, and no.

Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
A: Probably
Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
A: It wouldn't change my response, but it would probably make it easier
Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
A: Yes, can't say I'd be as confident cutting someone up with a knife than I would shooting them with a gun
Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
A: If it's an innocent stranger (to the best of my knowledge) then it would be similar to having a family member or friend in danger.

To quote Clint Eastwood:"I'd shoot you in the fucking face, then go inside and sleep like a baby." If I have to kill someone in self-defense no other options are available, I feel no regret. It was necessary.

No problem mate.
Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
As stated above yes, altho I'd try to disable rather then kill (not permanently disable, just till police arrive)

Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction? It would just make me more determined.

Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you? Nope, altho as stated above there are no guns here for us legal following civilians :p, so itd probably have to be close up.

Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
No

Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
In a moment. I enjoy my living much more than I enjoy the other guy living.
Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Yes I would be a little more careful but I would do what is necessary and better for the big picture.
Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
I think so. If I didn't have to see quite what I had just done it would make me feel better.
Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
I don't think so. It's a person who is in danger and they need my help I couldn't change anything just because I don't know them. Maybe they could be my best friend or my worst enemy in the future.

Not much. It would change whether I have to clean my clothes later. Blood's a ***** to get out of fabric.

Q: Do You think you could take a life to defend your own.
Yes.

Q: Would having a friend or family member's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
Dunno, depends on what you mean.
I'd take a life to defend someone close to me, if necessary.

Q: Would the difference between the up-close kill, and the point and click of a ranged weapon have a difference on you?
Preferrably, I'd use a gun.
Less personal like that.
But, if necessary, I'll do it up close and personal too.
Better scarred for life than dead.

Q: Would having a stranger's life on the line with yours make you change your reaction?
I wouldn't kill someone to defend a perfect stranger, but if my life is on the line with theirs, I might as well try to save them too.
