Oh noes teh internet was mean to me! -_- shut up and suck it up. The problem isn't bullying its the fact that kids don't know how to fight back like I did when I started on the internet. Just block them or if you are really want to give them a taste of their own medicine post their screen name all over the place and tell people to be creative.

Eh, if cyberbulling some how comes to "real life" (i.e: the cyberbullies find out where you live etc), then yes, it should become involved. But since its annonymous bs, I wouldn't worry about it. It happens everywhere.

I'm sure I've been 'bullied' much more online than a lot of people, and why am I not affected?

Oh yeah, because it's online.
Ive quoted you because your comment seems representitive off a lot of the comments on this thread. I feel a need to point out something that seems to have been majorly missed by the people here.

There is a difference between cyber bullying and random trolling.

In a cyber bullying case the cyber aspect is normally only one of SEVERAL other aspects of the bullying. Its an extention of them being bullied at school. As an example I knew a guy at school who was a bit over weight and got a bit of stick for it, including from me I have to admit. One group took it to extremes though.

As well as several other things they caused a fight involving this guy and filmed it before posting it on the internet and emailing a link to the vid to everyone in his classes. He suffered a lot as a result of that, that was cyber bullying. Trolls are not.

I am aware there is a massive media over-hype with this but it is a real problem.

The only way I could see cyber-bullying becoming a problem is if people are running around, hacking at people with keyboards.

Otherwise, it's the internet.

Don't use it if you can't handle it.
