It looks like 2012 is coming true...Why is the earthquwake in Japan,the radiation,and the star explosion in 2004 (it really did happen,look in to it),it looks like the end days are coming true!I really dont know what to think,maybe its just the end of Japan..(then the ancient mayans where Japanese!)What do you think??

I think this is a joke but i will run with it how does an earthquake in 2011 link to a non-specifyied event at some point next year, earthquakes are a geological event that happen because of heat, pressure and friction , Japan gtting hit by an earthquake is not exactly a strange occurance.

2004 some countless numbers of star probably exploded, in our galaxy only about 1 major star dies around about once every 50 years and about 7 new stars are formed each year and this has been happening for roughly 10 billion years, of which the earth has survived about the last 4.5 billion years or so without serious harm.

2012 is looking to be just another year on the calander, lets try to not to give too much credit to the natural sciences of a people that had not even discovered iron yet.

speaking as a second year emergency planning student (seriously this shit is my passion, my hobby and my job roled into one) you are discussing something whihc has been a debate for a while now; are there more disasters/emeregncies occuring nowadays or are our montioring/warning systems simple improved to the point where we notice them more?

personnally, i'd say that no, 2012 is not doomsday, our surveillance is simply getting better.

Yeah, that's why the Ancient Mayans lived in South America and built pyramids. :/ Besides Japan deals with earthquakes on an almost daily basis because they are on the rim of something called the "Ring of Fire", there the earth's plates move constantly and when they impact upon each other the resulting shockwaves cause earthquakes. And since that particular plate is under the Pacific Ocean, a strong impact will result in tsunamis.

All in all, nothing is going to happen in 2012. It's just a rumor and a rather popular superstition. The sun isn't going to explode and the world isn't going to crack open like an egg. Remember the Y2K scare? Did anything catastrophic happen? No. So I doubt 12 years later the world is just going to explode because the Ancient Mayans ran out of space on their giant rock to put the next years' events in there.

I cant remember where I read it now but some scientist said the reason for the increased number of earthquakes etc at this moment in time is due to some kinda magnetic alignment of the earth to some or rather....i read it a while back now...

Either way the jist of it was expect there to be more frequent natural disasters that what we would normally endure
