Oh please. It seems that nowadays every single year some moron uses their "superior" brain power to predict the end of the world whilst claiming that anyone who disagrees with them is in "denial". Why is it that ancient "technology" is used like a reputable source to predict the end of the world? I mean for fucks sake, they actually believe a calendar made by a civilization with inferior technology to us is capable of predicting the "end of the world" while our most brightest scientists, using our advanced technology can't? According to wikipedia, there have been at least one major earthquake (8.0+) every year (with the exception of a few years). That's hardly proof to suggest the world will end.

No there is a reason there calander end's on that day. That calander was a more or less map of the stars,(stay with me) it ends because the cycle ends. THATS WHY ITS A CIRCLE...when it gets to the end...it goes anew. They predicted on 2012 we will see the beggining of the cycle of the universe...or at least our solar system.
