To be honest I'm still a little unsettled that it got past the Australian censors, I mean, it has tits AND wangs.

...They're plotting something, I can smell it.

...I'll probably pick it up, though not on release, I guess I'll wait and see what other people say about it first.
whats up with these wangs everyone is talking about?
Showing a penis in what the mainstream media has decided is a childrens hobby is somewhat contraversial. I (and presumably others) are shocked at the complete lack of a reaction from all the partys who usually cry out "think of the children" somewhere around this point.
so, where do they show wangs in Dante's Inferno?
I hear talk of a demon who uses his as a mace, though I've not played it so I suppose I don't have any firsthand evidence. I can't imagine why anybody would feel the need to lie about it.
A wang mace?......
Exactly, who doesn't want to play a game wherein a giant demon tries to club you to death with his penis.
so do you have to chop his penis off or something and if so is he in the Lust level of Hell or....... yeah probably Lust

It was ok, but I was completely taken aback by just how much it feels like God of War to play.

Every mechanic, from the movement speed, to the double jump, to the button placing and way the camera moves... is identical to GOW.

It's a bit cheeky but hey, I guess if it works.

It didn't suck as hard as God of War did, but it didn't give as good a first impression as Bayonetta.
God of War sucked? I beg to differ. How so?
Well, not all of it; the tutorial level was actually quite nice. It's just that the game has no concept of letting enough be enough: take for example the first ogre fight. As soon as you kill it, it's instantly replaced by three more! Everything is done to death in that game-- that's not extreme of over-the-top. That's boring.

Also, Pandora's temple was a b***h. Just saying.

I loved every second of Pandora's temple, it's one of my favorite gaming moments.

It was just so massive, imposing and epic... yeah it was hard but so satisfying when you beat it.

The reason they gave you one ogre was was so you could work out the tactics for killing them, then they throw three at you to challenge you.

That's pretty basic gaming etiquette.

God of War rip-off. Seriously, I played the demo and it even felt like I was playing GoW.
I consider that to be a point in its favor. Should be a nice consolation for fans of the series who got a 360 instead of a PS3.

As someone who took the time to actually read The Divine Comedy, I'm appalled at this mockery of it. Honestly, they could've named it anything else and it would've been the same exact game.

Still looks fun, though.

looks like a God of War clone with a theme on a classic literature and a decent art scheme to it

yes, they could have made a survival horror/adventure game in the vein of silent hill, where you experience the horrors of hell. as phenomenal as the story is though, i think you really need the purgatory and heaven sections of the divine comedy to really understand the point completely. in that respect, if they didn't call this dante's inferno, nobody would be having a hissy fit about this game (i am cause the divine comedy is a masterpiece)

It looks like it might be fun, but it also looks a little too over the top for my taste.

One of the VERY few games I'm really looking foward to in 2010 (others being WoW: Cataclysm and Starcraft 2). I've seen others the developers diaries, but havn't tried the demo yet. The design looks very cool, combat looks FUN and the story looks like it's just gonna give the game enough depth, too keep things going.
Oh yeah and the poem? I could not care less that it's not true to it. Who cares anyways.

You all do know they have the GoW level designer right? That may be why it's a bit...clonish

In other news, I also agree that it rips the source material to shreds, but it seems fun. Just because it desecrated the Divine Comedy doesn't mean it'll be a bad game. The demo as quite fun, I like the art direction. Also the cut scene graphics are the best I have ever seen. (I think)

This ive had too many let downs for short boring games that cost 60$. ODST, The force unleashed, MW2,MW etc etc.

I played the demo recently, its decent enough. Its everything you would expect from a God of War clone, and thats it. But its fun nonetheless, maybe I'll pick it up after a while
