I think Christian Bale said he wouldn't do the movies anymore if they put Robin in...so Robin seems unlikely.

I think Penguin is the most likely. In the Dark Knight they already introduced us to the mayor (Richard Alpert? When did you find time to be mayor of Gotham? Get back to the island!). Penguin's arena was politics, so it's possible they will have Penguin take power from the current mayor in the third movie.

If the writers have any sense at all, they'll skip Riddler this time. His character is just too similar to that of the Joker's. I think we need a cool-down period before plunging back into that kind of mania.

I vote we leave Harley Quinn out, personally. It's too complicated to have her and nothave the Joker. Your only options are to have another actor play him (over my dead body) or have him not actually appear personally. Which is just lame.

You see where i'm going with this, right?

Riddler will probably be in the next Dark Knight movie.

One: No Robin. Nolan has said he will not be puttin Robin in the films.
Two: I want the smart, tactful Bane from the comics, Instead of the retarded steroid junkie from the other films.

I think i vaguely recall hearing eddie murphy possibly making an appearance can't remember what character he was linked too but the thought makes me shudder!
He was linked as the riddler, I have to agree he would probs take it down a camp road.

What about Cat woman ala Tim burton era, possibly played by Shirley Manson, think she could play both the doormat assistant and the crazed feline femme alter ego quite well

Meh! Someone obviously doesn't watch the Justice League! Batman carries a piece of Kryptonite around with him at all times, just incase Superman goes AWOL.

Batman defeated Superman more than once if not wrong.

Superman is the worst super hero ever!

David Tennant is confirmed to play the Riddler in the next Dark Knight film.

Kirsten Bell is also confirmed as Harley Quinn.

I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit on that. Nothing has been announced on Batman 3. Nothing. That is most definitely a fake.

The Riddler is a must have, and I'd say either David Tennant or Johnny Depp to play him. Apparently both have stated they'd be interested in the role, and I reckon they'd both make great choices (David Tennant is a pretty quirky guy and Johnny Depp, is just, well, Johnny Depp). I'd also say Harley Quinn, but I'm unsure as to how they'd pull it off since The Dark Knight focused on the early days of The Joker as an enemy of Batman and Harley Quinn only came to be a villain when she met The Joker in Arkham Asylum during his first incarceration there. Hence to bring her into the equation wouldn't make sense unless they bring The Joker back, and no-one would be able to match Heath Ledger...

Dude...Two-Face is dead. If Nolan thinks that The Penguin is too much camp for his Batman, what would he think of Two-Face coming from the grave.
actually they never said he was dead and he was breathing after the fall

i'd like to see catwoman, tho she's not really a villain

i think they'll do the riddler tho

There are quite a few released along side these as well. Also, a few cast members supposedly commented on the casting.

Personally, I think Nightwing should be in it. Dark Knight ended with Batman being hunted and the movie already presented many 'copycats' of Batman, put those together and you get a character like Nightwing- a batman copy. Use him to hunt down Batman and you have a storyline related to, but not similar, to the previous movies and keeps with the dark tone of the previous movies.

I personally don't think the Riddler would work, because he would be too similar to the Joker in presentation. You'd have another crazy villain that likes to play games with people's lives- it would be repetitive.

I think the Riddler and Clayface would make for an interesting combo in the next movie.
The problem with the great villains like Clayface, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, hell, even Superman, is that none of them make sense in the new Batman world that movies have created. They've created a Gotham, world and characters that are real, that feel like they could exist in the real world.

None of these characters feel that way at all. What, you want a great big man made of stone to fight with the mob?

It wouldn't be repetitive in any way whatsoever. The Riddler is completely different to the Joker, he's a very non-violent villain (only use violence in very rare occasions or for self defence), and he doesn't screw with people's lives in any way at all. He simply has ADD which leaves him with a compulsion to always leave riddles and puzzles which need to be solved as clues to his crimes and so on. He's completely different from the Joker, the Joker was a sadist who delighted in causing pain and misery and trying to create insanity in the minds of all around him (especially Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn, and also Commissioner James Gordon in The Killing Joke).

Yes, theres been a lot of fakes. And theres been a lot of "rumors" about casting. But honestly, none of them are real. In fact, it'd be silly for Warner Bros to release anything for another few years. No one wants to be compared to Heath Ledger. The bigger a distance they can put between each other, the better.

I agree with the no one matching him acting wise

but think that it would also be bad to just leave the joker out altogether, it could be explained that he's enjoying a nice stay in arkham and is messing with Harleys mind, maybe introduce her as a sucsessfull young Psycho-analyst, and have her start to turn throuought the film, no need to show them acctually together just have it allude to her working on the jokers case far too much
