Another modern military FPS, or Deus fuckin' Ex? It's not even a competition.

But in the end it all comes down to one question really: Do you prefer multiplayer or single player? If you prefer MP, get BF3. Ff you prefer SP, get Deus Ex.
I expected as much from you, Adam Jensen.

I'd get DX, as it doesn't need to use origin to run (unless this has changed since last time I checked), and, having played through it three times, I can say it's a very good game. Not sure about BF3, though, but my bias against origin makes me say Deus Ex.

I never played online games and then I got battlefield 3. So very, very, very, very worth it. That being said I have no intention of finishing the singleplayer on it. If you like fun things and having fun, you gotta go with Battlefield 3..... it's fun.

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about Battlefield 3's singleplayer and despite my friends saying they like the multiplayer, they are constantly complaining about things that they say should be fixed. I say go with Deus Ex

So wait. You're saying it's fun? Did I understand this correctly? Confirm please.
Confirmed. And as the great person I am, I did not let my man-crush on the battlefield franchise deter me from placing an objective argument.

I'd probably get either one for the PS3. My PC can't handle anything past 2008.

I wasn't sure how to answer, but if you're going with the PS3 version I'd lean a lot more strongly toward Deus Ex. It's pretty much the same across all the platforms, while for Battlefield 3 you miss out on 64 player matches and full-size maps.

Well Battlefield 3's multiplayer looks good, I'll probably get around to it at some stage, if only for the jets and helis and stuff, it looks like a good spectacle (plus, it'll help justify this expensive ass graphics card), but I don't really see it topping Deus ex at all. Human revolution was a fantastic game, and the amount of freedom was really refreshing for a modern game.

In Battlefield 3's single player it'll tell you to 'get back to the mission area' if you so much as set foot on the wrong side of the street. So fuck everything about that.

Well I have not played Battlefield 3, but from what I have heard the multiplayer is everything in that game and the single player is "the heavy rain of modern FPS's" not my words as I haven't played either of those games.

I have played DX:HR and I loved it to bits, it is simply amazing. That that for what it is worth.

Yeah, I really don't know why DICE decided to fuck the console players so bad. I mean, MAG could hold up to 256 players and it (I think) didn't have nearly the amount of money DICE had to make this game.

Well, DICE has always been a PC developer first and foremost. Plus the graphics in Battlefield 3 are a lot harder on a system than MAG was.

If you want a good single player, Deus Ex: HR. Hands down.

But if you want some good and intense multiplayer, Battlefield 3 is the way to go.

Deus Ex all the way man.
Particularly if you are playing on console.
I mean.....BF3's good 'n all - apart from the atrociously cliche single player campaign - but Deus Ex is something pretty fuckin' special.
