that's pretty normal for auction houses on the whole though, even if its in game currency its just a way of side stepping the game and being lazy.

and while i do see your point, some one STILL has to go out, and play the game to GET the item to put up for sale, work still needs to be done to stock the auction house. and i for one will be quite happy to put an arrow or long bit of sharp steel in somethings face if it means an extra $5 for me :p
For auction houses of shitty/f2p games, sure.

And that is where severely underpaid asians come in. Don't get your hopes of getting paid for playing the game up.
or, i will get paid and you won't :p the sweat shops won't account for every item on the market, I'm more concerned about legit players pricing then some loser in chine working in a sweat shop. I'm not expecting to get rich, but i don't see why i can't make enough to easy my current situation.

besides, it's an opportunity to make money in a shit job market. I'm going for it, weather you think its a good idea or not.

To "buy" your levels is in no way representing the population of true gamers.
Though, I do see a bit of respect in a person who can level up himself but utilize the market for extra coin on the side.

Witch doctor for me, minions ftw. Making Wizard after that as a second char.
I wonder how the witch doctor would do in PvP.
Wizard is a must by all means!

I'm quite interested in this, which surprises me, because it's not normally my kind of game. I guess I got converted by Torchlight.

As for Classes, I'm gonna flip-flop between the Demon Hunter and The Monk, just for a bit of variety.

Also, way to promote your own site, Jesse, that was nice and subtle ¬_¬

I'm really depressed that there's no Necromancer. I really enjoyed having a character that didn't have to do anything but walk around picking up loot while his minions did all the work.

That being said, I'll probably still really enjoy playing the witch doctor with his frogs of death :-D

The monk is actually the other class I don't consider completely lame. The witch-doctor? Tower of ghouls. I rest my case.
And how, exactly, is this not really awesome?

What it implies is that you can sidestep any form of working for your gear when you can get stuff for US dollars. Had they not included that into the auction house, the only way for you to get items would've been by playing the game, whether it's finding them by chance or buying them for gold.
Adding a shortcut for real money doesn't make it pay2win, it'd be pay2win if the only option would be to pay for it with real dough. But it ain't, you can still get loot the old fashioned way.

Not to mention that Diablo 2 already had an infamous black market for gear. Making it legal now, creating proper, regulated channels for something that can't be fought anyway it defends players against scamming and such. That's why I like this solution; they realized they couldn't fight it, so they did the next best thing.

I still need to play torchlight, I hadn't ever heard of such till it was brought up here about the new torchlight coming out. Is it really that good?

The Monk, nuff said ^^

And in a sense I did promote my own site, but I didn't write the article. That was done by a staff member and i'm merely using it as a discussion method. The more people know about us, the more we can continue to write on popular topics, these discussions help me out a lot on perspectives.

Torchlight is pretty damn good. It's a lot of fun and the classes are all fun to try out. It's a tad repetitive and you may want to turn up the difficulty though, as it can be a bit of a cake walk sometimes.

Well, fair enough, I know it's all for good reasons, but you may want to watch out. The forum rules say no self-promotion and you don't want to get yourself banned =)

Only intrested in the Witch Doctor. Been in love with that class since the first gameplay video.
Every damn update since had made me disappointed with the game, but hopefully it'll still be awesome.

I'll be sure to remember that when I obtain torchilight! Maybe we will even do a review over it ^^

And your right, perhaps we shouldn't go this avenue but it's not just self-promoting but also sharing for the interest of sharing. we have no intents of actually violating the policies.
I appreciate the advice, friend!

Do you recall the "time control" element they had included in the original previews of the game?

I love all the hate for new classes. Haters everywhere go spend your sixty dollars on the same game over and over. Diablo 3 is just too different than 2 to warrant any amount of money. If it had 7 playable classes like maybe; assassin, druid, amazon, barbarian, paladin, necromancer, sorceress and allowed you to play through 5 unique zones something like a grass lands with lots of graveyards, than maybe a desert, followed by a swamp, and than you could go to Hell, and afterwords you can climb a huge mountain.

I bet you this would go over so much better than the current Diablo 3. God what were you thinking Blizzard making such a shitty sequel with new things.

Also on a not insulting dumb ass haters note. Monk is super OP, if you haven't played imagine killing everything while taking 0 damage but only because you were skilled enough to push the right buttons at the right time.
This was rather lulzy!
I appreciate your commenting.

As for the Monk, that's about all I've really heard about him = Super OP.
And skill is definitely a factor that is usually overlooked.

I was pretty excited about this, until I remembered that the base game of Diablo 2 was actually pretty boring. I realized that I had played it much more, and had exponentially increased my fun, after I started playing it with mods like Median.

Of course, since they decided to ignore the success of mods in Starcraft 2, mods are no more for Diablo 3. As a result, I'm very VERY skeptical of how Diablo 3 will turn out. Will wait and see what the reviews say.

It's true that the paladin wasn't brought over to number 3, they did offer new unique characters like the monk, demon hunter and witch doctor.
i find it hilarious and stupid that people are still using "they dont have this class" as justification for not buying the game. before diablo 3, i never heard people say they wouldnt buy a game because it wouldnt let them play as a specific class. also, diablo 1 had no paladin class and, as i recall, that game was fuckin awesome!

anyway, i was really excited to play the demon hunter but ive heard people say she isnt that fun (i dont know, i was never invited to play the beta) so ill probably either be playing demon hunter or monk

I'm pretty much gonna played as the Witch Doctor and the Monk.

The Witch Doctor remind me of a certain cartoon character and the fact I like playing Neromancer like character which the Witch Doctor apperance itself is a appealing twist.

I admit I wasn't too keen playing as the Monk at first since I didn't like their robe like clothing (too sterotype). However my opinion of their apperance changed once I had seen some of their high armour which they do wear metal armours. The fact they can heal others would benefit me when I co op with my mate (he gonna played as the Barbarian and Demon Hunter).

Wizard! Maybe fem wizard to emulate my favorite class from diablo 2, the sorceress! This really looks fun but I want to know, does anyone know if there's a way to get in on the beta?
