Poll: Did you enjoy Halo 3: ODST?

Yeah, it was pretty fun. I'm thinking of writing a review, but I might wait until I do one for GTA4. It all depends.

It looks quite good to me, so I will check it out. Then again... I was buying it anyway(major halo fan, here).

it was horrible imo. Sure I liked the concept of not being a super solider, but these things are strongest next to chief himself, why does it take like 3 bashes to kill a grunt? And why doesn't a bullet do the same if chief was using it? A bullet, is a BULLET. I am just keeping it for Reach beta now.

3 bashes is about how much it takes in the books to kill a grunt (for an ODST, it's more for a large marine) and the damage difference was the re-enforce the fact that their soldiers, not juggernauts.

I'm rather enjoying it, to be honest. The lack of any Spartans makes the battles a little bit more intense (especially against those Jackal snipers.) and also the Hunters are pretty horrific. Also enjoy some grade A banter between the characters. There's my opinion anyways.

i feel the game was lacking to be honest as you cant play it like normal halo as your not the master chief so theres no running into a large group of covenant and then putting boot to ass.

That took me a while to get used too but as soon as i did i felt it was a nice change of pace as the story had started to pick up and then as i thought here we go some proper halo action the game ends.

Next what happened to the vehicles was it just me or do they all not turn properly anymore i noticed this mostly with the warthog as i gave up trying to drive the damn thing and jumped on the turret.

Also i thought the game was called "Orbital Drop Shock Troopers" as you only orbit drop once and that goes horribly wrong as i was expecting a few more drops the way bungie hyped it up so much.

but having mael from firefly as the squad leader was a great choice.

So to be honest i was quite disappointed with Halo 3 odst.

Funnily enough my favourite part was Sadie's story as well as the method that you find the logs. The superintendant was pretty sweet too.

I played some of it at a mate's house, and I loved Firefight. The campaign also looks to be a breath of fresh air for the series.

It was surprisingly enjoyable. The horde clone works very well, the 3 new maps for Matchmaking are awesome, and the campaign has been fun (so far).

It revived my interest in the series. Good show.

The single player was great, but it was too damn short! (everything else about ODST was very, eh. It didn't add enough past the campaign to really bother for me. Glad my roommate bought it)

It does not take three bashes to kill a grunt. For the most part you deal the same amount of damage. The main difference is that you take more.

did not vote because I haven't played yet. How different is the character as compared to the Chief?

1)Does this game have different recoil for weapons as compared to the Chief?
2)Are you still strong enough to flip a vehicle over by yourself?
3)Is there different quantities to the amount of ammo you can carry as compared to the Chief?

I see the ads about this game and it tells me that in this game I'm not the chief. Is the only change is the lack of regenerating health and the decreased damage for enemies? That doesn't sound like I'm not a superman in a suit... just a gimped superman in a suit.

I am currently in the process of enjoying it. Immensely. It's the best game I've played since fallout 3 maybe.

Well im in the middle. I liked it, but compared to other recent games the format seems really dated. Plus it was really short, nearly did it in the first sitting

Overall id say it wasnt worth the money but it wasnt a bad game nor the best game.

Personally, I have lost interest in the Halo series since 1. I played Halo 1, loved it, played Halo 2 and didn't care for it. Halo 3 didn't help. I thought it was the same droll from the last one. I understand if you are a fan of the series, you'd like it. Thought it's not for me. Have fun if you played it.

Because it's a rather big release? Same will happen with MW2. A simple solution: Don't go into them if your not going to talk about the topic?

I agree. personally,i hate Halo with a burning passion,but im not here to troll. what i do hate,and will troll about and needs to be removed,is the ODST ads before all thi vids here,its sooooooooo laggy.
