Yea, I liked her in general. Wouldn't say she's one of the greatest, but a strong character, for sure.

You do not know how many times I have rewatched her getting a stun baton lodged in her face. *Watches again* Take that you annoying jerkwad! I really like how they managed to downplay how annoying she was.
Plus there is the age difference. I am not quite sure, but Freeman looks to be at least in his 40s, while Alyx may in fact still be a minor. (Although that is only on the box. Due to the lack of cutscenes, reflective surfaces, or legs when you look down there is no in game evidence that Freeman is anything more than disembodied hands.) Also, was I the only one who was bothered by the fact that her father is black (And reminds me of an old person about to drift off into an amusing anecdote) she is distinctly not black at all?zipzod said:

Her mother was Asian supposedly, she is around 25 years old. Gordon isn't that old in the story either because he didn't age in the time between the end of HL1 and the beginning of HL2, which you would get had you understood the story. She was NOT 100% flat like some people are saying here, she looked more realistic without massive t**s. I liked her as a character.Souplex said:
