Well i bought all the DLCs some time ago and started with the DeadMoney. There was just something about it that made it so uncomfortable to play. Maybe it was the lack of good weapons or the invincible HoloGuards. And the fact that you couldnt just stop and do something else like in Broken Steel (DLC Fallout3)was really annoying.Dont like when a freeroaming/Openworld rpg tells me what i MUST do.I had a pretty powerfull character with good weapons , skills and followers. And once i was left alone and striped off my Gatling Lazers i felt really poor. But maybe that is the idea , you have to make use of what you got. But still it wasnt something i was expecting from the DLC and i remember that at the time when i was playing it i hoped that i had made a savefile BEFORE i started the whole thing. And i dindt even get all of the achievements because i finished it while steam was offline -.-

I really hated some of the gameplay aspects of Dead Money, mainly the faulty bomb collar that only serves to make every goal more tedious to accomplish. I also didn't like the fact that you couldn't go back and explore the Sierra Madre after the DLC was over. I can sort of see where they were coming from with the bomb collars, as awful as they were, but I seriously don't know what the developers were thinking when they decided to not let the player back into the DLC afterwards.

But on the other hand, the story, characters, and themes were all pretty well-done. I also enjoyed the sense of my character being a lot more vulnerable than he usually is, having to get by with fewer supplies and less effective equipment to help him survive against the dangers of the Sierra Madre. Of course, it's still deeply and fundamentally flawed and I consider it to be the worst of the New Vegas DLC, but at least I still got something out of it.

I quite liked the fact that my ultra-powerful mega guy who could mess people up by looking at them suddenly had to start thinking again rather than laying into everything with a laser gat. After that, being able to mess up anyone I felt like suddenly felt boring.

I liked the story of Dead Money more than the actual gameplay. The bomb collars got really, really annoying after a while.

I enjoyed it a lot more the second time around when I took my melee-monster character through and he was dismembering the ghosts left and right.

It's the first thing in awhile that made me crap my pants in fear. The Ghost People scared the FUCK out of me. That noise...THAT NOISE!

I loved it. It was the Tomb of Horrors for the Fallout universe, it had a great literal and metaphorical atmosphere.

Dead Money was challenging, and frustrating, and engaging and at times terrifying. Essentially, everything I ask for from my videogames.

Dead Money might actually be one of the best character studies in the Fallout universe, second perhaps only to Ulysses. Not just for Elijah, but for Christine and by extension, Veronica.

It's my least favorite of the New Vegas expansions, and I did used to hate it. But then I played it again. I still don't enjoy the first 60% of it, but things get much better once you get inside the Sierra Madre. It actually has a very good story to it.

I adored every other expansion, though.

Yeah, Dead Money was a disappointment, but was it really worse then Operation: Anchorage? Dead Money could be a pain, but Operation: Anchorage was mostly just really boring.

Its somewhere nearby and you don't know where! AIEE!

OT: It was alright AFTER I completed it. Once the stupid collar was gone, it was quite fun exploring and looting, finding hints about what happened before the bombs fell etc. Oh and the 150,000 caps+ (and that was without getting any of the gold as well) from all the stuff I stole and converted into pre-war money was nice too. Definitely the hardest of the DLC; it was ok, but still my least favourite of all of Fallout: New Vegas' DLC.

Dead Money was my favorite New Vegas DLC. Creative characters, engaging narrative, heavy atmosphere, challenging puzzles, and a larger focus on skills and smart gameplay. It was nice to have to take a more methodical approach to the game and not just be able to brute force my way through everything. All in all, a refreshing change of pace.

I loved Dead Money, nice of them to realise that everyone who played through it with an existing character would be an unstoppable badass and design some DLC around that.

Oh and didn't the Holorifle kill the "invincible" holograms? I only thought a weapon called the "HOLO-rifle" would kill holograms after i finished the DLC... Derp

Also the greed message in the DLC was awesome since i was all "yeah yeah greed whatever" through the entire DLC. What did i do faced with all those gold bars? I loaded my character up with every single one and tried to painfully waddle out of a self-destructing building... I only got halfway,

I swear they designed the route back to be nearly possible to over-encumber walk through. Emphasis on the nearly

Haven't played the rest though. Probably should buy them

It was my least favorite of the New Vegas DLC, but it still was great in terms of the story and gameplay. Yeah, the bomb collars were annoying every once and a while, but all in all, DM is still better than most DLC out there.

I'll take boring over tedious any day.

Plus, O:A had the best rewards in the Fallout series. All Dead Money did was thoroughly break your game if you took all the gold. (Which, don't get me wrong, was awesome. I like to coast through these games, and infinite money is always a big plus for me. But as a reward it's nothing special.)

I loved it actually. It had amazing atmosphere and story. It also made fallout like I think it should be, hardcore survival.

I did like Dead Money.

It had kind of an survival horror feel to it.
The story was not bad, though it certainly could have been better.

I liked that it was connected with Old World Blues (which was by far my favorite DLC) too.

All in all though, I prefered OWB and Honest Hearts, even if OH was a bit short.
But I feel Dead Money was good value for my money.

Though I do regret that I could not have more than 3 gold bars on display.
I would have liked to have a few more.

It was my least favourite of all the DLC but it was still pretty decent.

I really liked the characters and the atmoshphere was top notch.
