im expecting most people to say pokemon but i think digimon is the best
theres even a quote on the back of the moie box that says "beats pokemon hands down"
i personally think its got better art, plot, setting, characters, creatures, and even a better themesong!
i dont really understand why people like a 10 year old kid running around with a yellow bunny saying "lets DO IT pikachu!!" but oh well please post your opinions

By what you have as the limitations (which is only the movies), I'd say Pokemon still wins.

Even if you disregard quantity, I still enjoyed Pokemon movies more when I was kid.

i agree with the quantity bit i think its like digimon 1 film pokemon 14
but why do you enjoy the pokemon more? i enjoy both movies but the pokemon ones got old after watching them more than 4 time whereas i still watch the digimon one (sometimes) on a video player at the age of 16

Pokemon,My friends were more into it (we all started watching the show which got us into playing the games).Plus I like the idea of pokémon better. It's not so much as saving the world, as living in harmony with some creatures and going on a journey of self discovery and improvement.

Also, my name is Ash. It was easier to insert myself into the story and feel super awesome.

Because to me, that's 3 minutes of repitition, as opposed to Pokémon's bad ass guitar solo.

Don't get me wrong though, Digimon is awesome, and I do have it's theme on my iPod, but Pokémon wins hands down here.

As cool as that is, the Pokémon movies are about some pretty badass stuff too.

The first living creature vs it's bioengineered clone? Sweet.
The guardian of the ocean vs the embodiments of the elements? Awesome.
A series of weird beings from an alternate dimension changing the world for a little girl? Damn.
An alien and a being made from Ozone fight over a futuristic city? Hell yeah.
The embodiment of darkness and nightmares has to protect it's hometown from 2 invading gods who are disrupting the space-time continuum around it as they fight? DAMN.
A god, banished from the normal universe and forced to rule the underworld, comes out to join in the fight with the 2 other gods? Holy moly.
The most powerful god there is awakens from his slumber and is REALLY DAMN ANGRY at humanity? Freaking sweet.

And that's just some of them.

a super virus unleashed on the internet fires two nuclier missile and multiplys itself billions of times vs two digimon combined with the souls of thousand of children around the world(diaboromon vs omnimon) i think omnimon may be even more epic to me than masterchief<3

All of the seasons are on MedaVideo. Same with Pokemonn Yu-Gi-Oh and other 13-year old awesomeness.

Just pay for the 3-month membership and be nostalgic to your hearts content.

Well, both pokemon and digimon started going downhill for me some time after their third seasons. And I've only seen the first two movies of them both (I enjoyed both of them). So I'll base it on what I think of their newest seasons so far.

I'm going to have to go with pokemon, because the newest season of digimon, while decent, just makes me unable to shake the fact that they don't digivolve anymore, they just decided to copy off of the Power Rangers instead lol.

But for for series/movies, definitely Digimon is the better and I've seen them both quite a lot.

Pokemons faint, Digimons die. Pokemons speak their names over and over again, Digimons can speak and maintain conversations with humans. There's no such thing as a "bad Pokemon", they're always being controlled by a mad man or someone who's one dimentionally evil (except Mewtwo), but there are bad Digimons and they have their reasons and they can actually kill a human, also they are badasses and pretty hard to kill.

Details aside, I find more appealing the story of Digimon, especially the first and third generations. The first generation had a more adventurous tone, but it was hinted that Digimons aren't real and they are computer programs. The second generation tried to expand upon this, but I think it didn't fleshed it out as it tried to. But the third generation was a reboot of sorts and the whole story was centered upon Digimons on the real world, who and how they were created and all that stuff.

Also, Digimon has one thing Pokemon lacks, character development. In Pokemon, 10 years since the series premiered, Ash still is a 10 (11, 12, whatever) year old brat who just doesn't seem to grow up after countless battles and defeats, neither do his companions.

But in Digimon, the characters are quite different at the beginning and at the end of the series. Also, they do grow up and the relationship between it's characters is constantly changing, be it because his/her Digimon companion died or for whatever reason.

So yeah, Digimon all the way =)

That's the main reason I preffered Digimon. If your Pokemon is defeated, you just pull out another from the Pokeball. If your Digimon is defeated, that's it. It's dead. You don't get a replacement...
