Poll: Digimon or Pokemon

If I had to choose (I have no vested interest in either), I would likely go with Pokemon. The reason is simply that it was (I believe) the first marketing platform of it's kind.

While I can understand a lot of the points and perspectives coming from the Digimon supporters, I watched more Pokemon episodes than Digimon as a kid, and have logged hundreds of hours in the Pokemon video games. Digimon was cool for awhile, but Pokemon was and still is a cultural mainstay, and will always be remembered as a part of my childhood.

(Also, my spell-checker complains about "Digimon", but not "Pokemon". Try it out.)

Well ironiclly the more popular one(Pokemon) is the rip off of Digimon. Digimon is my choice on this. Digimon Saver season can make a grown man weep. Will buy the DS game when I can afford a DS for the Digimon DS game.

Definitely Digimon, Pokemon was too childish and pathetic after the first couple seasons. Not to mention that Digimon had way cooler battles, more epic monsters and an ACTUAL plot, unlike Pokemon in which it's always get the 8 damn badges and compete to be a Pokemon master which the loser Ash will never become.

More of a Digimon fan overall. Loved the Digivolution stuff. Pokemon was good and all that, but I just preferred Digimon if the two were on at the same time.

I LOVED digimon growing up as a kid, and since I wasn't allowed to watch pokemon, I never really knew anything about it, so digimon kind of wins by default with me.

I always though that Digimon was pretty poor. Pokemon is much better in my eyes.

Digimon, the characters look cooler. but i dont care about anything else. Pokemon is alright, i suppose, nothing you can stab at it. Digimon characters have terrible names and the story line is meh. but the dudes look cooler.

If the choice is between the Animes, Digimon wins without much of a contest as it had much more interesting storylines and characters (though only saw the 1st 2 series of both).

If we're talking about everything thats linked with them (games etc) then Pokemon becuase the games are so much fun.
