Oh please. Yeah greys and browns we've all heard that before but that's only in games that try to be gritty. In games that aren't trying to be gritty, we get stuff like Uncharted 2. Hell even the gritty games seem to be getting better to look at.

And if you want to talk charm look at LittleBigPlanet that pretty world is sure lacking in color
Let's not forget BioShock. What a depressingly brown and grey game THAT was

Gameplay and the story are the most important things to me. The graphics can be a good bonus if they manage to pull it off without ruining what their original idea was.

Graphics may not be the most important aspect of a game, but I really think they get a bad rep a lot of the time. It's true that good graphics can't make a game, but bad graphics can also ruin a game
