If people want a Swastika on their weapon. Let them have it and if someone get's offended... well, they should realize that world war 2 was 70 years ago and that the only ones whom are using the symbol today are Buddhists... and some neo-Nazis but that's just because they need something to offend people with... Fuck it's an evil circle.Alexander Falkhammar said:Fuck people that are offended, the world doesn't stop spinning because your feelings get hurt. In fact, I'm offended that you're offended! There, someone compensate me for my trauma!
Those were in context though. This is just people trying to get a rise out of others.diebane said:I don't agree with the ban of swastikas, you can see them in the history channels 24/7 (at least in Germany) and that's better? You tell me little children can watch documentaries about WWII and see those swastikas, but when swastikas are put into a game (for over 18 year olds) they turn them in Nazis or something?
Yea right...

You can't be serious. People view things with different perspective.Octorok said:Are you seriously saying that you look at a Swastika and think, "Hm. Symbol in some Eastern religions."? Of course you don't. Practically globally that symbol is the symbol of the Nazis. It may have meant something else before or since, but its use has been dominated by the horrible crimes and effect on humanity by Nazi Germany under Hitler. The same way if I was named "Adolf" I'd have a gigantic stigma against my name, for the simple reason it is associated with the horrible events of the mid-Twentieth century.
Indeed. Strictly numbers wise Stalin and his Solviet Union were far more brutal on people than the Nazi's were. (also less efficient) But he killed his own people, and were sort of fine with that (somehow) but the minute you kill people next door we won't stand for that now will we. (Thats a retelling of a joke by Eddie Izzard)Iwata said:If you ban the swastika, then you also have to ban the hammer and sickle, no if's, ands or buts. Double standards much?
I find it hard to take you seriously when you're trying to accuse of being wrong and alone in associating the Swastika with the Nazi party.slipknot4 said:You can't be serious. Hell, I've got 3 friends whom are named Adolf and I couldn't care less about it.
If we don't move on and live our lives as normal we'll never forget about what happened 70 years ago. I say; Drop the censor. The more we see of it the less we care.
And no, I don't associate the Swastika with Nazis. You do.
Asia doesn't play the Xbox, as a rule.Just_A_Glitch said:I just feel bad for any Hindus or Buddhists who try to play the game and make his symbol a Manji.
I disagree with the ban. Surely, the developers had to have known someone would do it the second the made it possible, because when people can be anonymous, often times they act as offensively as possible. I wish I could agree with this ban though. God forbid people behave like adults.
X-Box Live is full of dicks though, as many emblems point out. How many dick emblems have killed you guys today? My buddies got 27 already.
Pretty much the perfect post. Yes, we know that the symbol meant something 5000 years ago in Hinduddhism. But in the real world, it means "Nazi". ...Actually, in the real world, it means "Stupid 12 year old trying to be edgy."Valkyira said:The unfortunate thing is that anyone who made the swastika symbol is doing it because of the Nazi's, not the Hindu's. It's known that it's the Hindu sign for peace and the Nazi's took it and changed it so now, 99% of people see it as the Nazi hate symbol.
Little kids who think they're cool by putting the swastika there are doing it because of Nazism, not Hinduism.
end of story. your freedoms are not being impacted here. you agree to terms and conditions set forth by the owner of the product.Arkhangelsk said:While that is arguable, Microsoft owns XBL and are thus those who make the rules on it.
