Poll: Do you believe in the pedobear Catholic priest stereotype?

Do I believe there are priests who molest little kids? Ofcourse they are, just as there are policemen, soldiers, teachers and politicians who do so.
Do I think they constitute a majority in case of any of these groups? Obviously not.
Stereotypes are just that, exaggerations.
I served for 5 years at the altar and all I can say from experience is that priests in my church were some of the kindest people I've ever knew. I never saw any type of molestation or abuse, as far as I'm concerned they were total bros, and that comes from a mouth of someone who is disgruntled with church nowadays and hardly believes in it's teachings.

Bottom line is, some people do evil shit, and they are everywhere. As church forbids any sexual contacts with others to it's priests, the repressed sex drive probably drives some to do stupid shit, but then again church produces also more of good people than any other organization.

Wow, and were those 3 priests convicted of the crimes or "protected" by the RC??

The one closest to me (Locally known as "Sexy Sam"), was convicted, but I was never able to find out what happened to the other two. I don't know their names, you see.

What I don't get is how they get away with it, I'm sure the average pedo, when the police come knocking, can't say, 'Oh, I was just getting ready to go to prison and take my daily shankings, but my boss just called and he's moving me to a new office in Slough, so we're cool, right?'

I wonder how it worked, whether the priest realised he was getting close to being caught and made some big red phone on the Pope's desk ring, and they got him the hell out of there.

To be honest, how offensive is too offensive when you're being abusive about paedophile priests and the corrupt system that defends them? This isn't even close imo. I've got zero problems with Catholics, so if you are one, feel free to not be offended, I'm just knocking the pedos and those who protected them.

I've got a similar deal for the Muslims, regular Muslims, fine, extremists who wish death on others, fuck em all. (Just so I'm not accused of just having a go at the Christians )

While I'm at it,extreme athiests, not all religious people are bad, if they're generally living a good life while believing, leave em be, or at least leave em til the end once we've sorted out the raging nutters making life worse for everyone with their extreme views. The little old lady making jam for a donkey charity isn't a threat to rational thought, just because she goes to church.
