Well, normally, I'd say that alien crafts visiting our planet are ridiculous, even if the notion of life on others planets is almost definite.

But since I'm combine, I'm going to have to go with Yes. They're Combine.

Life probably does exist somewhere else on some distant planet. After all scientists now think that life started when some meteor, infested with microbes, hit the earth. Most likely senora is that the 'aliens' are just a bunch of microbes sitting on a rock somewhere and all they are doing is respiring(not to be confused with breathing.) However, the thought does occur that if we started from a rock that hit earth, does that make us aliens to earth? If this is true, surely 'the aliens in flying machines' are us in our ROFLcopters.

I think it'd be stupid to believe that in something as vast as the universe that there's not any other life than this one tiny planet.
No, life will almost certainly exist out there, simply because of how vast the universe is. Whether these other living organisms are intelligent, can space-travel, or whatever is beyond anyone's guesstimate. Although, I don't believe we've ever made contact with another creature beyond our atmosphere.

UFO's? Hell no.

The chance of intelligent life existing within the same time-frame as us seems unlikely. Out of 300 million or so species of our planet's history, only we have developed technology.

This.

Even considering just our galaxy, there are too many planents to assume that we are the only lifeform. So yes, I do believe there is life out there but I don't think we will ever meet them.

@HuCast:
You realize there are "non-human things" on this planet already? They are called "everything else"...

I chose Maybe.
Simply because UFO's are a little far-fetched (in the terms of alien space vechiles) I believe Whole-heartedly that aliens exist, but i doubt highly that there would be anything like a space craft within our own galaxy (the Solar System) Outside of it, sure, let there be super-advanced aliens all over the place! but in our own galaxy i don't really see how, considering the fact that if there were, there would be much more conclusive evidence to prove the existance of such things.

[EDIT]: even excluding the "GOVERNMENT COVER-UP" option...

Do I believe that there are alien civilisations somewhere in our universe? Yes.
Do I believe that the floating lights in New Mexico and other such places are the attempts of these civilisations to investigate our planet? No.

You'll call me crazy, but I've seen extra-terrestrials.
*other stuff*
One summer night, it must have been around 3 am or so, I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep.
I won't call you crazy, but in part you have provided the mystery with it's own answer.

maif you think math, and the univers is almost never ending, and there is more than one univers. then the chanse for earth to be the only planet with life is below -100%

I believe in everything. Of course there's what Carl Sagan called the Santa Claus problem, that space is quite big and the chance of aliens regularly visiting us is, literally, astronomically low. I'm more in favor of Phillip K Dick's and Grant Morrison's offered explanations involving metaphysical antibodies from the Earth's future working to make the present into the future.

I don't believe that aliens would have any reason to show up here, but I think there was a german aircraft being developed near the end of WW2 that looks just like most images of "UFOs".

I don't "believe in" UFOs. I believe that people have seen things in the sky that they can't explain, but I don't believe that aliens powerful and intelligent enough to cross between stars would forget to turn off their running lights.

Is there life on other planets? Dunno. I suspect that there'll be something out there we would call life. Even now we're trying to see if basic forms of life exist on other planets around our own star. However, we are having trouble telling the difference between "it's alive!" and "that's some really funky soil chemistry"... so we might want to practice a bit more.

The fact that most of the people that report these things, that I've heard, appear to be total nut jobs or live in close proximity to an airport makes me incredibly sceptical on the matter. I do believe there is life out there somewhere but I doubt they'd have abducted quite so many crazy people simply by chance.

Not sure, but if anyone here has seen Fire in the Sky its pretty creepy.. its a documentary of some guys who saw their friend got abducted and he showed up a week later all messed up in the head and naked by some gas station miles away and all of them took the lie detector and it said they were telling the truth.
