I disagree. First, I separated the moon denial from alien conspiracy. Second, though I did say "aliens approaching earth," I directly mention coverups and the roswell incident.Eclectic Dreck said:

The IR signature is only detectable if you happen to be looking at the right place with the right equipment. Equipment that notably did not exist in the late 40's, unfortunately the first sky surveys with such equipment took place in the '60s.RAKtheUndead said:

Obviously since footprints, laser reflectors are all seen on the surface with igh powered telescopes.
I like the other side of this myth better, that we went much further then the moon (later on)and they didn't bother telling us about it.

I know its too big of a thing to eb really a conspiracy. But i do fancy the idea that there might have been something back in the day. You know US and the CCCP raced who will deliver first on the moon so i dont know. I dont bother myself too much with this. No actually not at all...
is just when i was a kid my ENG teacher was giving the class this 2 hour long story about the faking of the first moon landing. So it kinda stuck with me to this day. But hey whatever we did it back in the day or not...who cares..we got satelites n stuff in space who keep us all connected n shit. Thats good enuf for me :>

We sure wont know til someone goes up there and proves it. But, I think we didn't land on the moon. Why don't we do it again? Why haven't the Russians done it? Or the Chinese? I find it quite inplausible. Also, if we did, why isn't there a giant, no, HUGE Research/Military base to explore and expand our knowledge about space? We have those things in Antarctica, but not the moon? Every military on the planet would waste money on just trying to build that base. Imagine it, you have a perfect fortress from which you can control the planet below and nobody could retaliate, and you wouldn't even try to build it. Yeah, sure. And what about the resources there? You could mine minerals there, without taxes, tariffs, ANY government issues. Hell, you can even clone people there and nobody could legaly stop you. And crime organizations could also have a huge profit up there. And you want to tell me, that none of these groups wouldn't want to even try to finance such a project, even if we were able to land and survive Moon's enviroment 40 years ago? I think that today it would be quite possible to create a self-sufficent colony up there, it would just cost a large some of money ( 3.7 shitloads to be precise), money all those organizations have, or could have gathered and invested in the project during the last 40 years.
