to some degree. i have purchased DLC for DA:Origins and ME2. but that is it.

i will only purchase DLC for games that have impressed me enough that i want to see more of the world in which they take place.

Music for rock band and anything that significantly enriches the story.
That can't really be any DLC, though, can it? If it were significant, I'd figure that it'd be in the finished game.
A lot of the Dragon Age stuff was pretty good. Especially things like Leliana's Song... The extra stuff for Resident Evil 5 is another good example.

I bought map packs before for Halo games and Call of Duty. But then I never really played those games. Outside of shooters, now that I think about it, I haven't really bought any DLC. I'm not really for that, we'll add missions to games you can buy later; which is the LA Noire method.

After watching an Extra Credits episode; though, I see that it seems that many of these companies do it to get profits lost due to used game sales. Obviously, that's only a small reason, but I can kinda understand that situation; I honestly just never thought of that before.

I still don't love the concept of DLC.

Edit: Let me clarify, I don't like how DLC is done now with a single thing at a time. I wouldn't be terribly opposed to the idea of expansions for games (PC games have done it for years). Why not just create far more than one thing or separate things to get it all at once?

All the time. I'm sensible and don't squander my money on flavour of the moment games, making informed decisions and purchasing games that I know I will enjoy.

That results in me wanting to extend the game time in the world I enjoy by any means I can, and as long as £1 = 1 hour I really can't complain.

No. If the developers felt that their DLC wasn't important enough to put into the main game, then I don't think it is important enough to pay additional money for.

This mindset is going to kill me if they release an amazing expansion for Skyrim. ¬_¬
Expansion =/= DLC. Expansions are much bigger, generally worth the price, and usually come on a disc.
Bloodmoon... *drools* I wonder if we'll get something like that again.
*sigh* If only. At least we won't get the Horse Armour DLC for Skyrim.
At least let us revisit Solstheim. I seem to remember leaving a pretty neat estate on Raven Rock. That's where I kept all my legendary items and shiz. And by George did I decorate that place neatly!

Depends on the game and DLC. If I think a game is crap and/or the DLC is overpriced or just plain not worth the price (see Railworks or Any of the Valve DLC) then it won't happen. Stuff like the DLC for Magicka though is a steal at double the price as far as I'm concerned.
