In Ireland, from my experience, people don't have a general term for fizzy drinks when referring to them. We just say the name of the brand. "Fizzy drinks" might be the answer you're looking for here though.

Pretty much this. I tend to go on brand name, so 'Coke', 'Pepsi', 'Dr Pepper' etc is my usual usage, but when asked to define what those drinks actually are then I'd say either 'soft' or 'fizzy' drinks.
