i loves me some booze! X)
there are definately more important things in life, and you should be able to have a good time sober too, but there are many times ive been drunk off of my ass, and most of those memories i wouldnt trade for the world.
and yeah, i remember most the times im drunk. im a lightweight anyway, so if im immebriated (spelling?) enough to be completely brainless and unaware, im usually in front of the toilet or a bucket. but im good at limited myself, so that rarely happens. i try to get blitz just enough to find everything hilarious and feel way too wuvvy duvvy with my crew. that would seem annoying, and sometimes it is, but they find it hilarious, so its all good. :)

I've been drinking since I was 15 and I am almost 18 now. I've never been so drunk I've passed out, I know how much I should drink to get me fairly tipsy and that is good enough for me. I don't do it that much either, me and some friends are going to get together after xmas and go to the pub ect.

Well do you? For me I am underage but I have never thought of the idea of drinking a pleasent one. So I sort of made a early vow to never drink any Alcohol and just stick to Soda. I just like to keep sober as being drunk doesn't seem to be good physicaly or mentally.
Believe it or not, I stayed away from alcohol for awhile, social pressure becomes a bit of a problem. Either you're stuck all alone, or at least one of your good friends will get drunk while you two are out, so you get stuck with one guy drinking, and you sober... eventually you learn to take a few for a team.

The other problem I've encountered (strangely, this was much more awkward in the States than back here) is that it becomes weird to order non-alcoholic drinks in bars.

I generally will rarely drink a lot, I have my limits, and I know where they are...

Bad parties however are an exception. Either I have to listen to morons all night, or I can just get seriously SERIOUSLY drunk.

Buy hey, drugs > alcohol anyway.

Not only do I imbibe alcohol, I make the shit as well. Sort of a beer geek, I suppose. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a drink every now and again. Hell, if you like the taste of something, you shouldn't avoid it just because there is alcohol in it. It IS possible to have a drink WITHOUT the intention of getting drunk, you know?

When I say 'rarely', I mean about 4 times a year. I'd rather be sober.
as I don't enjoy the taste of beer or spirits, and I don't see the point of getting inebriated... So I'll just stick with cola

Its fun to me, I don't understand why everyone is kind of against it, I mean as long as you do it in moderation its fun.

I can't stand the taste of most alcoholic beverages, but there ARE really girly drinks that I can tolerate.

That as it may be, I'm terrified of losing control of myself - I'm huge, I'm clumsy, I'm angry, and I'm ... let's say 'flirtatious,' and I'm worried about how those things would combine if my inhibitions are lowered.

So instead all of my friends have a free DD, and I get to see all of them wasted and then remember it the next day ^.^

Now, that as it may be, when I accidentally deleted 90% of the saves from my 360, I hit the wife's cooking whiskey. Started to chug it until my taste buds caught up with me and I spent the next five minutes gagging. :p

I can't.
Seriously, I can't drink.
Bad things happen when I do...so my friends have permanently put me as the sober driver.

No. I hate the idea of alcohol and getting drunk and as such will not drink alcohol even though it would taste heavenly.

Like some others, 4 times a year. I've recently discovered a thing for apple cider, but that barely registers.

I like alcohol, but I don't drink it. I'm a frail little flower. D:

only a year underage and always responsibly, one or two at the weekend does it for me. Usually cider.
I have been drinking alcohol since I was around 13 or 14. I was going to nightclubs at around 15 or 16. I love alcohol. I rarely overdo it though.

Now I am 26 and can handle my drink so much better. Even so I rarely drink to the point of being unable to stand. I dont like being hungover.

I have however had alcohol poisoning once when I was like 16 or 17 and was very ill for about 4 days.

I love having a few beers and a pizza or curry on my days off from work though. Beer and pizza just go together so well and I would recommend anyone who doesnt drink to try it before you dismiss it. As for being under age. It seems to me more of an American stigma.

I am not saying that children should all go out and get wrecked. But if you an in your mid to late teens I see nothing wrong with a few beers everyone and then. America really needs to drop the stigma and lower your drinking age to 18 imo.
I've been drinking from about the same age, and I agree with the stigma in America. I was in Boston on my summer holidays a couple of years back and we were at a barbeque, I asked if I could have a beer but my parents zipped me up before I went for one. It's an odd system, It's better to introduce young people to alcohol on their parents terms rather than disallowing it until 21, where everybody else in the world will already be drinking, and then for the whole world of alcohol to hit them in the face like a freight train. I think Switzerland has a good system, 16 for weak alcohol like beer or cider, 18 for spirits - it means teenagers dont need any pretensions about drinking at a house party and hiding the booze if the police show up, they can just sit down in a bar or at a restaurant and just order a beer without any trouble, which I did while I was there, it was quite a pleasant experience drinking in public.

I do, not excessivly though. Staggering drunks are never charming. A bit of a buzz (ie around 2-3) is enough for me when going out.

No. Pretty much everything other that spirits tastes disgusting. Besides, I have better things to do than piss my money up against a wall o/

I drink on occassion. I like to nurse my drinks, so if I make myself a glass of whiskey, that glass will most likely last me through the entire evening.

edit: I get it, I should try it before I condem it but honestly, I just don't want to like it, I have already a problem when I drink too much soda, don't want the same to happen...
Honestly, alcohol is a heaven and hell drug. (yes it is a drug, it alters your state of mind) Some people should drink and some people shouldn't, if you can control how much you drink and get a good "buzz" going on then its alright, but if you are immature(not saying that you are) then you might be compelled to ride the drunk on for to long and consume to much, then you will find yourself sick or in a bad situation you wouldn't have gotten into sober. I say wait until your of age if your not sure. The age limit is 21 for a reason, if you are more mature your experience is likely to be much better. Alcohol isn't a bad substance, bad people just tend to abuse it. In fact, a glass of wine a day or a couple of beers a day helps clean out your liver. Hard Alcohol = Mistakes and failure *Stay Away* lol
