I enjoy watching if it's in the same room. I prefer they are good at the game. Though I will watch a friend who is new to the game.

I normally do it if I'm to lazy/tired to play anything myself.

Some of my happiest childhood memories was spending the day watching my best friend play his dwarf cleric in Everquest. Live on forever Oblagon Stormpeak you crazy priest.

I have to agree with everyone saying only if the player is good. It does bug me pretty badly to see people missing stuff I know they shouldn't..which is why I stick to watching speed runs, longplays on youtube and my friends play, so I can yell at them when they miss something =)

I enjoy watching games being played, except for Portal. It is so painful watching someone play Portal (1 or 2), I end up trying not to scream at the monitor "No, not that way! Back where you were! JUST LOOK UP AN INCH DAMMIT!"

Yeah, I enjoy watching them.

One of my friends does livestreams every night and it's fun.

I voted "Yes, but only competitive games (Street Fighter, Starcraft, etc)" but I mostly refer to PvP in MMORPGs. I basically watch anything that can improve my skills in a certain game.
I don't even mind if they're bad at it, I do enjoy yelling and laughing at my computer.

I love watching people play Metal Gear Solid even though I myself can't get into playing them, and most any speed-run.

I enjoy playthroughs--especially when I can't afford the game myself.

But I only like certain types of players. Commentary is all right, but if you spend all your time just insulting everything or constantly screaming and such, I don't watch.

My favorite playthroughs to watch are all done by Tobuscus (Toby Turner) on youtube. He's hilarious when he plays.

Only for review and strategy purposes. I can watch it to decide on a game or to figure out a puzzle that is stumping me. Anything else, I would rather play myself.

Yes, friends or let's play.

I've also recently discovered I really like watching competitive fighting games.

I said "Yes, but only with commentary", but that's not wholly accurate. I like watching video games being played if they're being played REALLY well, commentary or not - however, I will watch someone who has brilliant commentary play a game even if they're terrible at it. (Case in point - I'm currently watching YouTube's Tobuscus play through Amnesia: The Dark Descent. He's awesomely bad at it but his commentary makes me laugh out loud.)

I watched a friend play Silent Hill: Shattered Memories this way, mostly because once he found out you could shine your flashlight over your shoulder while looking back, the "World Goes Blue and Scary" sections deteriorated into an attempt at playing Red Light Green Light with the monsters. (They wouldn't play.)

I enjoy watching people play but I prefer to play myself. Still, if I am unable to game (say I'm on the web with this piece of junk) then yeah, I'll enjoy an LP.

I like watching people playing a game and having a great time with it. But if it's, all "pro and shit", well in those cases I don't find that's worth watching, unless it's a SC2 match being commentated upon by Sir TotalBiscuit <3.

I can enjoy watching almost any game except when the player sucks and let's plays. At least the former you can fast forward or skip to the important parts but let's plays is like trying to watch a movie or TV show with some guy who won't shut up. I don't give a shit about what you think of the game I want to see what happens, if I wanted your opinion I would ask.

I like watching friends play, BUT it has to be something I'd like to play too. I can't sit and watch my boyfriend play Starcraft or WoW or LoL (Or any multiplayer type game, generally because I have to be quiet 'cause he's on Skype). But I did watch him play Deus Ex:HR for a couple hours and Half Life 2.

My Bf, however, can't watch people play computer games for shit. Evident when he physically pick me up from the computer chair and placed me across the room, so that he could take control. =/ Jerk

Only when one person.
If it's something like a Let's Play that inexplicably has 2 people talking, I can't stand it. They get all chatty and annoying...

When it's in real life, only when they're really good or when they're hilariously bad.

Depends on the game.

I love watching other people play Halo: Reach, because either it's very impressive, teaches me something, or is a hilarious fail.
