Poll: Do you ever buy the sequels to games without ever playing the originals?

Does GTA 3 count? Or FF? If so, then yes. If not, then why not?

Half-Life 2, Saint's Row 2, Far Cry 2, Red Dead Redemption, Halo 3, GRAW 2, Fallout 3, Armored Core 4, Juiced 2, Forza 2 and Red Faction Guerrilla.

I try to play the originals, but sadly sometimes its impossible.

Loads of times, done it with Oblivion, GTA, Need for Speed, Monster hunter, Bad company, BF:1943, Warcraft 3.....The list is endless. If I see a game that looks good, I buy it. I've long since accepted that I've not had the opportunity to play the first instance of every sequel that looks good.

Usually I don't. However, I wanted to get Halo 2 for a new X-Box I got just at that time. I've never touched Halo. I ended up hating Halo 2, a lot.
