That's a strange question. How did hair length get to be tied to gender? That question is irrelevant in places where nearly everyone has the same hairstyle(unless going for that 'English' look).
That's almost as bizarre as the whole 'female breast=adults only' thing.

My girlfriend presently has medium length hair and I think it looks great on her, if she were to have her hair shorter then I'd still say that she looks great...just that she looks great in an ever so slightly different way.

In my opinion, it doesn't really matter. (although I don't think that a shaved head/grade one works on a woman)

Depends on how short. Shaved heads are definitely a turn off as are haircuts that are traditionally for guys.

I wouldn't say I specifically dislike short hair on girls, but I do prefer it to be long(er). Shoulder length or just a little shorter is the optimal setting, I believe.

Though I'm generally a fan of shoulder-length hair, I know this one girl that went from long to pretty short, and she's never looked hotter.

It's kind of a "spunky" look, even though I'm not quite sure what that word means outside of its vague connotation to pornography.

So, uh, yeah. Short hair has to work for you.

Hair is a big part of what I find attractive about a girl... It can't be like, male short. Neck length at least.
