Poll: Do you finish games you don't like?

The question is in the title. Do you finish games that you bought and don't like ? By finish i mean, complete the story . If so , What was the last game you have to force yourself to finish even though you didn't like it ?

I feel the need to finish every game i start to justify the fact that i bought it even though after playing it i didn't like it ( the exception being Metroid: other M, i just can't bring myself to keep playing that). The last game i had to do this with was , Sakura wars: so long my love which i played about 3 weeks ago, i bought it at Gamestop for 20$ because it came with a shitload of extra and thought it was a bargain, Boy was i wrong.I thought it was a Strategy rpg with love sim elements, but it was a Love sim with SRPG elements , and by Srpg elements, i mean about 10% of the game... twas grueling. The game before that was Mass effect (2 months ago ), i just couldn't get into it , it was boring to me but i still finished it, only so i could play mass effect 2 .Surprisingly i really liked Mass effect 2 compared to it's prequel.

I could never finish FFXII, last boss and I just couldn't be bothered as I hated it so much.

But to the proper topic. Games I had to force myself to finish include Fallout 3, Mass effect and F.E.A.R and its exapansions.

Fallout 3 was dull, I chose to just finish the story in the end because wandering around the wastelands was slow and tedious. The combat was also lame, I stopped using V.A.T.S and just blindfired my way through.

Mass effect was just so boring. Weak characters and a story which only became interesting in the very last tenth of the game. Also so much pointless dialogue and awful voice acting.

F.E.A.R I played recently and it didn't do anything for me. It wasn't scary and the combat became extrememly repetitive. I kept playing as I thought I'd better finish this so I can play F.E.A.R 2. Strangely I had a great time playing the sequel.

I did want to at least beat Duke Nukem Forever, the damn Scissor Lift puzzle made me stop and send it back. I might rerent it just so I can at least finish it and complain reasonably.

I have difficulty finishing games I like as it is (get bored, distracted, or try something else; never get around to coming back to finish), let alone ones I don't enjoy playing. So yeah, I almost never finish games I don't enjoy; for any reason. By extension, I very rarely replay games as well; regardless of the game's quality.

And with my free-time dwindling due to increasing workload and responsibilities, I don't imagine this will be changing anytime soon.

Yeah, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was definitely a Zelda game worthy of all that the DS offered gamers, but the repetitive and unfair nature of the game requiring you to memorize the layout of an increasingly difficult hub dungeon that you needed to return to over and over and over again became a drag.

I managed to stick with the game to get all the extra goodies, but have yet to face that damn dungeon one more time.

I try to finish most games because of OCD. However, I can think of one of the top of my head that I just flat out gave up on because I hated it. That game was Final Fantasy XIII. It bored me to tears. I sold it back to Gamestop and put the money towards some MS points to buy DLC. I had more fun with that then I did with the game.

I tend to have a breaking point with games I don't like, once that threshold is reached I put it down and rarely come back to it. Spending money on a game I ended up disliking is one thing, but continuing to spend time on a game I dislike is worse.

I go one step further with my OCD/completion complex. I HAVE to get 100% on EVERY ONE of my games. It's really wasted a lot of my times.

Kind of depends really. I did finish Mirror's Edge, I hated it, but it was short and somewhat playable.

Now games like Sonic 06, I really couldn't stomach after a certain point.

Nope, I hate wasting my time, so when a game isn't fun, I get rid of it and do/play something else.
I do however try to push about 1h-1:30h into it, just in case it gets better.

To be honest, I never bought a game I wasn't sure of that I'd enjoy it without regretting the money I spent on it.
Then there was dragon Age 2. Which I didn't finish.
So yeah, I usually finish my games. Except once.

Depends on the game. If I bought an epically long RPG which I knew would take hours to finish (which, for the record, I would probably never do anyway), then I wouldn't bother. If I know it's a straightforward single player game, then I will finish in for the sake of the story.

The last game I did this on was Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I was extremely frustrated with it in general, but I felt all my complaints would be somewhat invalid if I didn't even see it to the end.
